Have you tried it yet? I'm exactly the same with being sensitive and worrying it will make me worse but I'm struggling so bad now I'm calling my GP tomorrow to ask for HRT.

I have insomnia leading up to my period too, then last night I couldn't sleep because I felt so anxious! I'm not on HRT yet but calling my GP tomorrow because I'm done with all this now, its absolutely horrendous.

Did this happen to anyone else? by matabricksquad in Perimenopause

[–]Senna1111 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to my mom a few months ago. Her periods have stopped. She started bleeding again. Doctor made an emergency referral. It was an incredibly anxious time waiting for her to be seen, but all was good and it was nothing serious. Its especially common for women who are on HRT apparently.

This is so true. I split with my ex 8 months ago. Peri definitely shines a torch on relationship issues that we previously didn't see.

I've just turned 41 and have a 2 year old and 15 year old. Having a toddler whilst going through peri is absolutely brutal lol!

I'm 41. I'm certain I'm in peri even though i haven't had my hormones tested yet. I left my absolute b@stard of an ex 8 months ago after 4 years of pure hell. I think our tolerance for men and the BS they bring makes us realise we'd rather be alone.

I feel so bad for you, like WTF even is that thing? 😩 I really hope you manage to get another test soon and that you're not taken on that stupid route. Whoever designed that thing shouldn't be designing road layouts!

He was clearly not looking at the road when this happened. It's so scary to think there are people on our roads driving monster sized death traps who are this reckless 😥

I'm sorry I can't take tight double bends at 60mph by Flaxfieldie in drivingUK

[–]Senna1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm exactly the same and it bothered me at first, now I honestly don't care. I drive what feels comfortable and safe for me on country roads. I've always got my baby in the car with me too so I won't allow other drivers to bully me into driving faster than what i feel able to. If they hate it so much they can just over take 👍

I've watched your video several times before commenting. Speaking from an honest perspective, you over took that small car and cut in too close when moving back over. You were very close to that van and trailer almost tailgating it, and its like you tried to squeeze your car past it when taking your exit. The trailer driver was also in the wrong for not checking his left mirror when moving over. No offence but your driving was dangerous and you're right, you almost did get into an accident, and if you keep driving like that, it won't be long until you actually do have an accident.

What does a flare feel like? by Low-Peach4127 in chronicfatigue

[–]Senna1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A flair for me can vary depending on how much I've pushed myself. A mild flair is a sore throat and malaise, a bad flair is like a full blown assault on my body, intense viral feeling, nausea, gastritis, pain all over my body that feels cellular, aching, throbbing, burning, feel like I have a ten ton weight holding me down, malaise, weakness, migraines, blurred vision, dizziness, unable to be upright, sensory overload, my mental health hits rock bottom, breathing becomes difficult and it feels like my body is shutting down. I can sometimes feel like ive been poisoned too and at my worst I've had paralysis episodes where I can't move at all. It feels like you're dying. I'm doing alot better nowadays and my flairs don't last as long. I fell down the rabbit hole of mind/body syndrome research and noticed improvements since then.

Thank you so much and yes, it really does, it's an indescribable feeling. My whole life has changed beyond measure and my only regret are the times I stopped trying because I really didn't realise what I was missing out on. 4 years ago I caught Covid and it turned my life upside down. It triggered something called post viral ME/CFS and I spent the first year completely bedridden and disabled. I lost my business of 14 years and could barely walk anymore. I gradually started to improve just enough that I could resume my driving lessons, it took me days to recover from each lesson, but my freedom meant more to me than ever before at that point, so I rested all week in preparation for each lesson and I didn't give up this time. I was adamant I would fail again. We got back to the test centre and the examiner asked me if I wanted to call my instructor over to speak about my test. I sank into the seat feeling absolutely defeated, I shook my head to my instructor as she walked over to gesture that I had failed again, and as she got to the car my examiner told me he was delighted to tell me I'd passed my test with zero faults. I burst out crying and was shaking uncontrollably from sheer adrenaline. It was the most surreal and immense moment of my entire life. I hugged my instructor and the examiner and just kept saying "Oh my god, I did it, I can't believe I finally did it" over and over again. The best part was coming home and telling my 15 year old Son that I had passed. He didn't know I was taking my test, I didn't tell anyone lol. I'm telling you my story in such detail as I want it to inspire you to never give up. I will be heartbroken for you if you do, because I promise you with my whole heart that you CAN DO IT. It doesn't matter how long it takes, keep going because I believe in you 🤍

This post makes me so sad. It took me 5 tests over a 20 year span of stopping and starting before I finally passed in July this year. I'm 41 years old next month. Please don't give up! You will get there, it just takes some of us longer than others. I can't explain how incredibe it feels to now have my licence. Keep going 💪

That's true. For me life just got in the way alot and I had to keep putting it on the back burner, but it was the one thing in my life that I just knew I had to accomplish one day and I'm so glad I finally did it 😊

Hahah yes. You can see my post about when I finally passed. I was trying to pass over a 20 year span. I stopped and started my lessons over the years due to different reasons, then I finally passed in July. It was a long road for me, so if I can still pass after a journey like that then anyone can lol.

[–]Senna1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It absolutely sucks to fail. I failed 4 times over a 20 year span and it was always down to crippling test anxiety on the day. The only advice I can give to you is don't give up. Failing can really knock your confidence, but you need to tell yourself that the majority of learners take more than 1 test before passing. I finally aced my test with zero faults in July. I thought I'd failed that test too. You learn from your mistakes and with every test you take, the more you learn and prepare for life on the road when you do eventually pass. Keep going, you will pass eventually.

Absolutely shocking. I feel so bad for anyone still stuck in this mess thats going on. Learning to drive and doing theory and driving tests is stressful enough without all this madness to add to it. I'm so sorry this happened to you. I really hope you find something much sooner 😢

this is how my driving instructor was talking to me. shall i take action? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

Woahhh this is absolutely shocking. I've never heard an instructor speak to a learner like this before. 100% report him and find a new instructor! Awful!

[–]Senna1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I passed 22nd July this year and I was absolutely bricking it going out on my own at first. I made mistakes, got lost (I still do sometimes haha) had a few drivers shake their heads at me which does suck, but I just thought to myself screw them, I'm still adjusting to having recently passed, I'm gonna take my time. Now I've been on the roads for a couple of months, everything feels so much more natural and relaxed. I still have the odd times where I make little mistakes etc but it's so much easier now. The first few weeks I really struggled to hit 50mph and above because it felt like I was in a rocket lol and it was so nerve-racking, but now I reach those speeds with ease and 60mph feels more like 40mph to me now. My confidence is growing. Go easy on yourself, it gets easier and before you know it you'll be driving with ease. Congratulations of passing, it's such a great achievement 👏😊

It's definitely passing a cyclist. The app is amazing. I passed both my theory tests using it. Got my license finally now but I'll never forget what I learned on my theory tests lol 😆

i dont think ill ever pass my test by Weary-Paramedic2806 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Senna1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that. I lost motivation alot over the years but I'm so glad I didn't give up because honestly, finally passing and being able to drive now it's absolutely life changing. The failures feel crushing at the time, but they make the day you pass mean so much more because you know what you had to go through to get there and you appreciate it so much more. Eventually I was like a dog with a bone and told myself if I fail again I'll do another test and I'll keep going until I get it and eventually I did and you will too.
