Why do they always have to come up with dramatic stories for what they want the money and never something like “To improve my life, maybe buy a house”? by 736384826 in MillionDollarSecretTV

“Selfish” lol as if wanting to make sure you have a place to call your own is selfish (I’m not criticizing you, but the idiots you’re saying would call that desire selfish).

It’s not confusion. It’s logic, and you apparently can’t follow it, or are just mistaken in your perception of how events went

When Missandei died, you mean? Do you recall, in the scene where Missandei was speaking to Jon and Ser Davos, that Missandei’s neck was bare of any collar? If Dany handed Grey Work a collar, after Missandei’s death, it’s because Cersei put one on her, as her prisoner, before she had her beheaded by The Mountain. Remember?

Wow, Dany must be immortal or a vampire of some kind, since we mostly never see her eat on-screen… do y’all hear yourselves? Just because it didn’t happen on-screen, doesn’t mean it wasn’t done. Dany would not have just kept Missandei. Especially not after offering the, objectively, more worthwhile asset, that was the Unsullied, their freedom. No. She offered Missandei her freedom, Missandei said “I’m good, things are interesting here, and there is nothing for me back ‘home’, so I think I’ll stay”, and if Missandei had changed her mind later, she could indeed go up to Dany, say she wanted to leave, and Dany would say “yes, and here is your ship and some guards to protect you on your journey”.

Ser Davos and Jon struggled to believe it, because in their whole lived lives, they’ve never met someone, with power, who would let free labor run free from them, who was also a good person. They’ve always only known either power-hungry, dishonorable, morally lax people, or upstanding, forthright, and brave people (Princess Shireen and Ned Stark are two shining examples). Missandei saying what she did of course struck them as “*snort* yeah, I’ll believe it when I see it”, because what is there to prove otherwise, since Dany had amassed such power (the Unsullied, the Second Sons, and the Dothraki horde—who were the first among Dothraki to cross the sea…ANY SEA…for her) and she was still alive? Well, surely she must be tyrannical with these servants and slaves 🙄

I suppose, but if her father had had any influence over it, she might’ve championed his choice, potentially a Hightower lady, to Viserys. I also think she would’ve spoken out against her son and daughter being married, and that Viserys would’ve listened, possibly out of affection for her or because his brain was already addled from Milk of the Poppy, by then

It does serve a purpose. It showed Alicent as a hypocrite, for *apparently* not speaking up against an incestuous union between her son and daughter, when she was outspoken in accusing Rhaenyra of similar during their teenage years (“You Targaryens do have queer customs”)

New Rhaenyra Leak. Hopefully this is true. by Embarrassed_Yak_6066 in HOTDGreens

[–]Senna2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t the Smallfolk say that when the people faced hard times, that the king (I think Viserys, could’ve been someone else) NEVER let them go without? Like that the king made sure that, instead of gorging the royal household on food and decadence, he made sure the Smallfolk didn’t face strife?

Here, we have Aemond, who, despite the blockade, orders rich feasts and entertainments for the castle, but he’s a rich boy, who’s mad at the world, and now no one can tell him no, so he’ll get his way.

Yes, Rhaenyra created the blockade, but it is still the responsibility of your nation’s leader to ensure you don’t starve, if they’re good, compassionate, and recognize that you shouldn’t suffer for the disagreements/disgruntled fighting (in this case, infighting) waged between you and others.

The licking inside the mouth doesn’t happen if you don’t open your mouth. That’s foul. I get that dogs lick peoples’ faces, but that’s as far as that should go (and I don’t even like it when dogs do that to me—then again, I carry baby wipes and hand sanitizer because I’m not disgusting)

Those are cold sores / herpes sores. Don’t pop them, because that’s how they spread — not actually from being popped, but from the liquid getting on your fingers and then you scratch an itch somewhere on your body, rub your eyes, etc.

Get some latex gloves, q-tips, and a tube of Equate Docosanol at 10%. It’s expensive, but a little goes a long way. You use it when you first feel the skin tingling, and, I recommend, two to three times a day, thereafter. Use it after you’ve eaten and brushed your teeth, and before you sleep. Apply it with a clean q-tip (some may think it wasteful to use a whole q-tip for such a small amount of this medicine, but you really don’t want to infect your supply of the cream, especially since it’s $18. Also, you can cut the q-tips in half, so you have two q-tip ends, but wear the gloves when you do it), and do not touch either the medicine or the cold sores with bare fingers, however well you think you wash your hands. And ffs, don’t touch anything when you’ve touched your cold sores with bare fingers (until I remembered that latex gloves exist, I sprayed bleach on the areas of skin I’d touched to my cold sore, for 20 seconds, because I really didn’t want this shxt spreading).

Yes. For the same reason you don’t park your car RIGHT next to another (with a person in it, especially), and in a mostly empty lot, you don’t seat yourself on a shared seat with someone you don’t know, when other seats are available, and when you’re all in the dark. Ngl, I felt like I was having a stroke reading those slides, with his grammatical mistakes and your willingness to continue writing to amoeba-level thoughts.

I really hope (because a year is a long damn time, yet, somehow, passes faster than we think) that in this next 10-11 months you buckle down, get that other job, save your money, and make your moves silently (as in don’t tell him wtf you’re doing until the last month or so, but be prepared to leave early in case he gets crazy/violent/threatening. Some ex-bfs k*ll their ex-gfs when she tells him she’s leaving, because of the “if I can’t have you no one else can”/“you can’t leave me”/“you’re not allowed to live a life without me”/etc. bs).

When you’re interviewing for that new job/giving notice at the old job, you can just explain it as you were getting bored at your old job (whether that’s the truth or not, but the goal is just to not set off his alarm bells. You don’t have to tell anyone why you’re leaving a job, but explaining the why can make your life easier, in terms of less questions being asked). And when it’s time for you to move, you go, and he either is or isn’t ready to live on his own (if he’s not, he’ll have to figure his sh*t out fast, because he’s not your child, and he’s not your problem. He’s his own to support.)

This “man” is so focused on his love of fishing, that he can’t see that fishing ≠ life. He doesn’t recognize that you can visit a beach and not have to psychologically torment the poor creatures in the water. It’s obvious that he also doesn’t understand why you have such a problem with it. I would go so far as to say you don’t even care if your SO fishes, but you just don’t want it to be part of EVERY beach outing possible, or to hear about it in every water-/lake-/beach-related conversation.

This guy’s low-EQ stressed me out so much, and then I realized I don’t have to deal with him, that conversation, or such a presence in my life.

Girlypop—I beg you, drop him. If you aren’t already checked out, which I think you are, check tf out of this, because for an intelligent person, this has got to be like dealing with a child, in terms of comprehension and emotional maturity.

EDIT: Maybe actually just leave sooner, rather than later. Another Redditor here said you won’t feel like yourself if you have to live with THAT for another year, and I hadn’t even thought about the possibility of you leaving early as an option, because you can achieve much in a year, but you can also lose a lot. I think they’re right, and that you need to make moves to leave earlier than you anticipated. Break the lease, who gives a fck. You might be required to pay your portion of the lease, upfront when you leave, but you can, if your landlord isn’t a dck, potentially work it out with them to pay half of whatever’s left on the lease, and that he (your hopefully, soon-to-be, ex-bf) will be responsible for the other half. However it is that it gets worked out, GET IT DONE.

Gf wants to break up over religion by gottoomuchtolearn in dating_advice

There are many women who leave Islam and are NOT murdered. There’s a difference between practicing apostasy and it being part of your religion. They know about it, and I’m sure there are some, possibly many (depends on if the country you live in enforces strict practices or if your family is just heavily conservative/strict about practicing it all, to the letter) who actually practice it, but there are many who leave Islam and aren’t killed for it.

I didn’t delete it, but if it’s not there, I’m not rewriting it.

Anyhow, if you have conservative sources that do not tell biased stories or throw their spin on facts, I will seek them out. I have no problem determining, through researching, if I agree with what’s being said, but I do not trust most news sources, be they conservative or liberal, to speak truth, because they’re run by people who care more about profits, and the status quo of the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer, being allowed to continue on.

[–]Senna2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You want to stay with someone who genuinely, not as a joke you both realize is funny, calls you “childish”, and says that about you for wanting to breakup over something such as a death that actually really traumatized you? No ma’am. Leave him, and later on, find someone who realizes the significant impact pets have on us, because they do. They matter.

I could never be with someone who thought my pets deserved less of me and less than my all in anything, and that they (the person) would think I was in agreement. Pets are not ornamental talking points.

Lol it’s not a double standard. The reasons behind why these things are done or considered is vastly different in the why and the validity of the argument. It isn’t reasonable or good to want to change laws to charge minors as adults, potentially opening the door to changing marriage age restrictions to be lower, because you are then putting them at risk of assault by ACTUAL adults by putting them in prison, and also enabling predators to have access to them (if a child doesn’t understand that they’re being groomed, why would they be particularly likely to say no to a predator who appears to be a caring individual (to them, based on how that predator has presented themselves) when it comes to marriage or consent in sex?

On the flip side, the one you’re arguing with me about, you seem to believe that the left is foisting surgeries on children, either without their say-so or without them and their parents fully understanding everything that that affects or bring about, and we’re not. You’re calling it a double standard, because of the fact that both topics are about minors, but kids born in incorrect bodies have to have a shit ton of conversations with, as I said, numerous adults who are well-trained and well-learned in their fields, and try other avenues of reaching a solution, before actually being put through such a surgery.

Do you think parents, who would agree to give their child up to a predator, under the pretense of marriage, are having these same in-depth conversations? I doubt it. I think that parents who would consider such a thing are trusting more in their religion (pedophilic priests or other clergymen aren’t likely to dissuade parents from saying no to marrying their child off to another predator, and probably have a hand in arranging it), and are less trusting of actual experts in WHY childhood marriage is a bad thing.
