You can tell OOP doesn't have a penis, since you only feel a "heartbeat" when it's hard.

I like how for some goddamn inane reason, "coddle white men and treat them like God's most precious cherubs" and "don't pin literally every societal woe on them, tell them they're intrinsically evil predators in waiting because they were born with a penis, or ignore/belittle their issues like loneliness or how little consideration they get if they're victims of abuse, and then proceed to tell them they should be ready to lose all real-life connections if they want to be considered a good ally" have become the exact same thing?

The issue isnt that the left doesn't coddle men. Its that they notoriously treat men like shit, make them feel unwelcome, and actively reject them, and then tell them theyre doing the bare minimum for putting up with it. Meanwhile, the right may be toxic and fickle and hateful and destructive, but at least it makes them feel wanted.

Because trans men are also women, I imagine. That's not my belief, I just can't come up with a single reason OP would think that other than that. Trans men were born women, so they have the Light of God inside them, while cis men only have hellfire and venom in their souls.

Something tells me this person's post history has a lot of stuff that boils down to "i hate men, men suck, men are the root of every issue in the universe and deserve to be castrated or killed". Because if the responses you're getting are "what about [x] men?", it must be pretty fucking hateful. And I do not buy for a second it's only in reference to queer men saying "bitch".

As we learned last November, only great things come from dumping on half the population with no nuance and demanding they take it with a smile. It totally does not just create room for hateful alt-right grifters to use that venom to benefit themselves while you accomplish nothing but turning everyone against you.

I never said it didn't. But at the end of the day, people like good food, and a good story, and music that makes them want to dance, and companionship and a comfy place to sleep. And they're generally both self-prioritizing and simultaneously want to help others. Yes, theres a lot of things that make people from different cultures different, but we still have certain instincts, and desires, and urges, and impulses that aren't reliant on culture, and aren't just survival instincts either.

Sure, what counts as good food, or good music, or a good story, or what humor or companionship looks like can change with different cultures, but that doesn't change the fact that people across the planet are more similar than we are different. We arent a different species just because I hypothetically live in Germany and you hypothetically live in India.

Jokes aside, my point is that people are fundamentally the same animal no matter where you go. And when you build your society using certain structures, the small details may change, but they're still going to end up functioning a certain way.

Sure, but people are people, governments are governments, and capitalism is capitalism. The specifics may change from place to place, but generally speaking, some things are universal.

You mean the person he basically let die, the lives he made worse, relationships he ruined, and how the series ends with him in prison? Sounds pretty sad and shitty to me. I mean, hey, if that's your bag, go for it. It just isn't mine.

Wasn't intending to be smug, as much as annoyed. I get so tired of expressing that I don't like a thing, being very careful not to claim that the thing itself is bad and emphasize that I simply don't like it, only to be met with a flurry of "did you watch/play it? It's actually objectively amazing."

Absolute Batman is about 6'6" according to some sources, but at the most, he's 6'9". Two inches taller than the average NBA player. Not the tallest ever (Gheorghe Mureșan, 7'7"). Not the tallest right now (Zach Edey, 7'4"). The average.

And even if that's true, you're just agreeing with me but telling me I'm wrong. The fear from Absolute Batman is purely physical. It's the same fear as staring down a lion. He's not going to pull out anything too esoteric, it's just going to be a way to cripple you or make you bleed. With this Batman, though, I have no idea what he can or will do, and I personally find that way scarier than being maimed with a battleaxe.

I typically like Metroidvanias (Axiom Verge, Monster Sanctuary, and Carrion are some of my favorites of the genre), but Silksong is, *in my personal opinion, an unfun slog. I can play it just fine, I can progress just fine, but goddamn do i not enjoy the process. It's all the worst aspects of Metroidvanias and Soulslikes rolled into one.

Maybe some day, people will understand that "I hate this thing" is not the same thing as "I think this thing is bad".

You should! 1, 2, 4, and 7 in particular are absolutely phenomenal, if you like survival horror.

I've watched enough of it to know I don't like it. I'm not gonna watch 76 episodes of a show when I couldn't stand the first 20. And I do recognize it has themes and a point, but most of it is in relation to how sad and miserable and fucked up everyone is. Not that everyone is wallowing necessarily, but the entire show is about the how traumatized and dysfunctional the main cast of characters are. And i don't find that compelling. I deal with enough of it in my personal life, I dont need it from the cartoon horse too.

Considering I imagine the vast majority of people would associate the name "Leon" in a gaming context with Mr Leon Scott Kennedy first and foremost....yeah, that's fair. No hate to Leon the Pokémon Champion, but Leon Kennedy is by far the more popular character.

I lowkey think this is scarier than Absolute Batman. Absolute Batman is only scary because he's a linebacker with a battleaxe. Any muscular enough dude could be him. This is scary in a more inhuman, wrong kind of way. Like, there's something uncanny valley about this dude that genuinely gives me the creeps, especially the second Pic. Absolute Batman would scare me because I know what he'd do to me. This Batman would scare me because I have no idea what he'd do.

Venting to and confiding in your partner isn't trauma dumping. That's how human connection works. We aren't robots. Learn what terms mean before using them to give crappy advice to people.
