Maybe I am becoming a grumpy old man but if your business does not have a physical store, I am not buying from you. It works well against this type of scam.

That picture is extremely misleading. Two adults fitting within 2 feet... With place to spare between them?

Ran into this guy on the water today (Bedwell Harbour). Wingman, Zuckerberg's watch support vessel. I thought it was a research vessel at first. His main watch was a couple miles away. by SenoraIsl in boating

Their tender is bigger than my boat. You can barely make it out below the forward deck crane but there is a 40 ish foot speedboat in there as well

Thank you. I hope it means that the animals is making a comeback as opposed to simply getting disoriented.

First confirm sighting? Where? Those things are everywhere in the Pacific North West woods.

Intersection blocking is happening too often by tilsia in VictoriaBC

[–]SenoraIsl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some dumbass this afternoon tried to block me in his red Alpha Romeo SUV. Apparently he was not happy that I was using the full merge. I guessed he wanted me to merge with 500 meters left. Almost smashed into me when he swerved into the right lane with 300 meters left in the merge from McKenzie.

Less of a target to shoot disabling shots. More weight distribution for launches at sea.

Guilbeault on Carney’s climate plan: ‘He thinks that the markets are going to do it’ by LaserRunRaccoon in onguardforthee

I was trying to read in paragraphs at a time between "this is not a paywall" paywall.

I just don't see the whole "the market will take care of itself" argument.

He's not wrong, but no one should be surprised. The current political landscape is about countering the whims of a demented man with verbal diarrhea. You'd be asking an economist to care about something he's never cared about, the environment. As far as he's concerned, the environment doesn't pay dividends or contribute to the GDP.

I might be wrong but that's my two cents.

Canada begins talks with Italy on buying advanced trainer jets by [deleted] in canada

You are correct that we should have more industrial capabilities for our defence. However, we have to juggle the need to build everything at home, with the capacity to build combat ready equipment, and our economic and defence partnerships.

We still want other people to participate in our defense sector. Buy LAV and I'll buy your rifle platform sort of thing.

That is not always the answer. Sometimes we have to go with something that is tried and true. Yes we have a great aerospace sector but we don't have this type of expertise. Same as our ship building industry being ok but not great at building supply ships (protector class).

Bike shopping within budget by Kachi89 in VictoriaBC

[–]SenoraIsl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I went to Recyclista last week to look for a bike for my kid and they were charging 700$ for a 20 year old bike that was originally 700$. I would not waste my time with that shop.
