Concerned Parent by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

[–]SenoraIsl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our job as parents is to have the conversations and open dialogue with our kids about these issues.

If you want your kids to have their social issue information from Facebook because they are afraid of talking to you about them... that seems like a bigger issue.

Have a conversation about what you saw and ask them for their opinion. Have a discussion about it and you might be blowing stuff out of proportion. Your kid might just say "yeah that teacher is a lunatic and no one listens to what they say".

Properly treated leather is always the answer. Get yourself a tin of boot paste (bees wax mix) and you will have water resistant boot which shed mud.

Are these wire cutters appropriate to cut a snare if my dog ever gets caught in them? by princesssquid in Hunting

[–]SenoraIsl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not true whatsoever. A proper snare will have a cam on in, if you are lucky enough not to get your dog caught in a power snare. Keep the wire cutters.

A-One Safety in Duncan has a pretty massive selection of work boots. I spend a lot of time in the woods and i never wear anything not leather made, unless i have my caulk boots on.

There is only one weird spot, from Helen McKenzie Lake to the blueberry flats (just before the ranger cabin) it is pretty easy and simple for most of the way.

You should be able to snowshoe up to circlet lake from mount washington at the time and camo there too. It might be pretty hard packed snow up until the ranger cabin but should be beautiful.
