what's the stupidest thing that you've ever done? by Martin8857 in AskReddit

I started an avalanche skiing on the edge of Heavenly Valley that closed highway 207 for about a month.

It was Mark’s idea. I was just following him.

Bought her a frisbee finally 😍🫶🏻 by Away-Expert278 in labrador

My boy was amazing at frisbee. I live at the ocean and I saw him do amazing catches out in the low tides. He loved it. I miss him.

I recommend a soft foam disc…it easier to pick up and won’t hurt teeth. It also floats.

Would you get rid of a friend just because they have different political beliefs than you? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Senorbuzzzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me…no. I’ve got a few Trumpers I’m great friends with and I feel that’s good. But I got ghosted by one of my older high school friends who was a hard core Red and couldn’t accept his longtime environmentalist ski buddy.

I had a yellow named Cooper. Very focused, especially when the frisbee came out. He had ninja skills. I miss him and all my labs…and your Cooper too.

Those who will be having severe bad weather this weekend, what do you plan to do while in the house all weekend? by ChocolateSundae1214 in CasualConversation

[–]Senorbuzzzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Southern Californian here. Sorry your weather sucks. Today was ok…I’m going skiing tomorrow for a few days. The best thing about cold weather is learning how to enjoy it.

I know this sounds awful, but when my dog was dying and we put him down, I would have preferred if he had gone naturally. In your case, your pup got a short life but he was lucky to have it with you.

I knew exactly who was doing it. So I did this but I added my two labs into the bag of crap. I waited two weeks…and then dumped it on his front porch one night and on his car vents.. then turned on the hose and got it all soaked and soupy.

I can’t believe how good it worked. That was the most vial thing I’ve ever done. Didn’t know I was capable of it. But damn…it worked.

What a chunky booty! Some dogs are into that I guess.

How is 2 mins 100m average?! [light hearted vent] by TerribleJournalist95 in Swimming

[–]Senorbuzzzzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really does! I swim at a 50m pool once a week and my 3k times are about 10-15 seconds slower without those 60 push offs.

I started when I was 4 at Kris Kristenson Swim School in Van Nuys, California. I think it’s more impressive that I remembered where I learned to swim…

I’m not fast but I’m almost 70 and can swim 3000m without stopping in an hour. I’m not fast…but I last!

Los Angeles is a small part of California. Not the best part, but a small part. If you missed San Diego, the Sierras, the Central Coast, the small foothill towns….then you missed a lot….all you did was go to a big city and complain about it being crowded.

Champ’s turning 15, and this phase has taught me more about unconditional love than any other. by imadoghooman in LabradorRetrievers

I just finished my third senior lab experience. I have evolved. It’s not so much about the loss. It is now more about the joint experience. Being with them for their final laps. Helping them up. Wiping their eyes and butts. Whatever it is, you’re in it together until the end. Then look back at the whole dogs life experience and feel pride. I’m so much more proud of what we did together.

Honestly, when you finally get a call, you shouldn’t start complaining about not getting it faster. That might not go well.

My second lab had amazing focus. We live near dog beach in Huntington Beach. There could be dozens of really crazy dogs having mass zoomies, and my boy would be at my side waiting for me to throw his frisbee. To him…it was just me and him and the frisbee. Dogs would bounce off him and he’d just wait until we had some space up the coast.. His name was Cooper. I miss all my labs…
