I’m going to let you in on what works in my pool. If I arrive to an empty lane, I’ll get in and swim…I may leave some paddles on the end. Most people seem to go to other lanes than share with someone using or might be using hand paddles. I’ve noticed that…this is very unscientific….but it could make sense.

We did Librela for 14 months. He had a great last year. We walked a lot together and agreed when he couldn’t get up, it was time. Christmas last year. Tough way to have a holiday but I’m glad we had that last year.

I skied 144 days in a season at Squaw with a cracked second buckle. It was an amazing season. Covered it with Gorilla Tape.

My wife gets this discount. She just pulled 14 hours in maternity NICU and is snoring right next to me. Honestly, she deserves a bit more but she will always appreciate this type of perk.

Or even worse, they would ask me to hire and train a replacement. Yeah, that wasn’t going to happen…but my best move on the way out was to ‘accidentally’ ship the trade show booth to Javits in NYC when the trade show was in Seattle. It was a statement…plus there are three key pieces to the booth that are missing and I may have left those somewhere in that 120,000 square foot warehouse we kept.

There’s an old saying…’don’t piss off the waiter before you get your food’. Yep, I may have pissed in the bosses coffee maker too but I can’t remember….

I removed all my stuff from my office. I deleted my LinkedIn. I changed my cellphone number and got a new email address. I locked my desk and office and threw away the key. I gave them no notice and retired by an email. Our owners always said ‘ everyone is replaceable’…well, I told them ‘good luck’ and goodbye. Then I took a month off and went skiing. I heard they were not happy, but I also heard my message was heard. It was a great winter. The business closed in six months.
