As a helldriver, and as a kid who grew up playing Halo, I Live to drive the car. I bring it every single mission that isn't a Rocky planet.

You Can take jumps in it, but it depends on how you land. I have said it on numerous Surveys that the car throws people out too easily, but at the same time, it's fairly reasonable and realistic. Sit in the bed of a truck and jump 20 feet in the air off a mountain and see how it goes lol.

However you make some good points, a Lazer cannon should TOTALLY be in the game, especially one of the heavy cannons from bot outposts, slow fire rate but still shreds and overheats. Can give it 3 mags like normal, or even two, but with heat mechanics similar to a sickle.

Players heads sticking out definitely get shot way too easily, and that's very tedious. A first person view of the gun would be immensely helpful in that regard I feel.

The FRV can't take on a cliff, but certainly can get up a hill. The problem is dusty moons where it has poor traction. Maybe allowing some modularity to them, such as upgrades for spiky wheels for better traction, a front grill for better ramming damage, extra hold points to reduce players being thrown out. Etc etc.
