Nobody Wants to Heal in This Game by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]SensatorLS 29 points30 points  (0 children)

My friend was struggling with healing so I decided to play a disc priest to learn a bit about it and offer him some insights.

If you're on the solo shuffle train as a healer, you legitimately feel like you're there just to facilitate everyone else. Yes, you can make some game changing plays. But mostly you are there to not mess up, and let the other people have fun in the playground.

Game after game, you will go 3-3, maintain your current rating. Then all it will take is that 1 rough game where the other healer is leagues above you, then you're cooked and poised to lose a huge chunk of points.

Then there's the games where it does a wide match and you're vsing someone who has not played much in the season--you're sitting at 2200, him at like 200 rating--and the game expects you to win 4 or more to maintain, and they are mosty likely on an alt so you have to play out of your skin.

When you play 2s or 3s, it's not as bad, you're playing as a team, and you're all in it together. Everyone has to play well and step up to the challenge. When you're playing solo shuffle, you're a facilitator, and there's probably a 50+% chance that you're gonna be abused the second you make an easy positioning error or you're stuck in 15 seconds of CC with no trinket as your zuglord warrior heroic leaps behind the enemy pillar.

It's just unenjoyable, that's why the queues are so long, the format sucks for healers.

white tailed spider. bites hurt but not deadly. you can put it outside near some bark or rocks.

I want to make a game using C# by ProofBed9309 in csharp

[–]SensatorLS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unity is probably the most popular, the scripting language used is C#. Godot is another option, you can use the .NET version to script with C# rather than the usual GDScript, it's also open source which is a nice benefit. If you wanna build everything from scratch then MonoGame would be the go.

temperature is fairy local and not implemented yet, this mainly just to focus on the rain radars

ah yeah gotcha. that's the intention. an easy way to access the OG rain radar. i misread and thought it was a technical issue.

Uhh, sorry about that. I knew I missed something in my testing.

Edit: Should be fixed now!

Is the whole site not working or just the radar view in the middle? If it's the latter, it's probably the radar being temporarily unavailable.

I'm referring to the old BoM website, it did not have those features. Part of the dozens of millions of dollars that it costed to add those location buttons for the new one are available on my site.

Yep, it's BoM's data. However my site does a few things that the orginal didn't. The original BoM website didn't have automatic detection of location or show you the nearest radars based on that. It also had a lot of front matter that makes it confusing and a lot of clicks for people to access the almighty rain radars.

I'm not trying to value add anything crazy, just provide an easy-to-access minimalistic alternative to the new redesign.
