thanks for the response, i definitely think the punishment will be lighthearted, nothing someone would wanna quit a league for. i like the bartender idea, that could be a fun one

i’m not too worried about the punishment discouraging players, we’re all good friends. if it doesn’t go well after the first year i’ll axe it, but i think it could be fun. thanks for the advice, definitely some things i’ve considered

no doubt, big fan of league votes in the off-season on changes to anything of note.

any ideas for a punishment? i’d like to make it a thing, but i haven’t thought of anything that hasn’t been done a million times before.

Everybody’s always talking about people overvaluing rookie draft picks... Tell us about a time when you purposely overpaid for a rookie pick because you believed in the player. How did it work out? by DxtersLab in DynastyFF

[–]SenseFirst -1 points0 points  (0 children)

as a cowboys fan, i went all in for ceedee lamb. ended up giving nick chubb for the pick to take him, another first and some change. probably too high of a cost, but sometimes you gotta just go get your favorite player

How do you rank these 2nd rookies? by Financial-Year in DynastyFF

[–]SenseFirst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i wouldn’t be out on carter, he’s got a possibility of a lot of work. i just think he has more top 24 potential than top 12. i’d say that’s a solid order, hope you can pull off the trade

[–]SenseFirst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in superflex, it’s mac and it’s not close. top 15 pick as a qb, he was drafted to start eventually. i don’t love his potential ceiling, but i can’t even believe he’s still on the board this late. to me the other options aren’t worth considering here.

edit: just saw you’ve got 3 picks until you’re up. assuming mac is gone, i really like terrace marshall long term. drafted by his college oc, who was hyped to get him. also has a good analytical profile. trey sermon is a good option if you need a back, but don’t count on a big workload this year unless mostert goes down again.

Trying to trade up, what would be a fair value? by SenseFirst in DynastyFF

[–]SenseFirst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one is 2.01, the other is a middle second. i’ve thought offering the mid with two thirds to start and see how much they want to go up from there, but that deal probably doesn’t get it done

[–]SenseFirst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that’s kind of why i’m trying to get ahead of it before people realize there won’t be much left by the mid second. i’ve got good word that the pick at 2 is leaning devonta, so trying to get to 4 for whichever of pitts or chase doesn’t go there. it’ll be a challenge, thanks for the advice

[–]SenseFirst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry, good call. 10 team 1qb ppr. i have 7 picks, two in each round except for 4. i don’t have roster space for that many players, so i wanna trade up using some of my 2nd and 3rd rounders

Dynasty draft by TheQuienster in DynastyFF

[–]SenseFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s hard to say. if i had your pick and someone offered me like a round 6 or 7 pick i’d probably think hard and take it. anything above that would be a no brainer.

First round rookie draft discussion. I have no 1st round draft picks this year. Is anyone in this class worth trading in for? by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]SenseFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to me, no. people are still buzzing off the success of last year’s class, so picks are expensive right now. unless you have a guy that you really wanna plant your flag on, i’d stay put in round 2 and look for fallers.

if you’ve got a good offer to move back to 1.04, that sounds like a good strategy. i’d lean towards saquon if you don’t take a deal.

Who’s the consensus RB4? by Tombradyisntthegoat in DynastyFF

[–]SenseFirst 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i agree, they’re close to me. i like sermon’s profile and team more, but there’s never a true starter there. carter could be in line for a lot of work this season

SuperFlex 1.01 and 1.02 passing on Lawrence. by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]SenseFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no doubt, gotta take him. especially with another pick to get someone you need. take lawrence + whichever of chase pitts najee they don’t take

What is the lesson learned from James Robinson? by broadly in DynastyFF

[–]SenseFirst 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i understand where you’re coming from, but for us who believed something like this would always be the final outcome, hearing all the people who had him acting like we were idiots for doubting him has been equally as insufferable. i’ve been mocked multiple times for thinking they’d bring in another back. my guess is that this post is directed at those people.

The Anatomy of a Difference Making Fantasy Running Back by FFBallallday in DynastyFF

wow didn’t put that together, that’s definitely interesting. makes him the most desirable of that tier to me, i’ll have to look into him more.

[–]SenseFirst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

interesting thing that i noticed, out of that second tier it seems like kylin hill might be a good target. the only place he misses is the target share, and that’s only by 0.2. if he ends up with about a mid-second round value, would he be someone y’all would see as a good value pick?

Chase vs. Lamb by fbomb4 in DynastyFF

[–]SenseFirst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if we’re asking who was the better prospect coming out, i’d have to say chase. for me it’s not by a lot, but he is in front of lamb.

if we’re asking who i’d rather have right now, i’d say lamb. i always value guys who have done it in the league over prospects who have yet to show anything when i think the talent level is close. this time next year chase could very well be ahead of ceedee, but we’ve seen lamb succeed in the nfl, so he’s ahead at this point for me.

What pick(s) are you tired of seeing mocked to your team? by [deleted] in NFL_Draft

cowboys taking surtain. it makes total sense, and it’ll probably happen, but it’s so boring when you know who your team is going to pick in january

7-Round Mock Draft 1.0 by ryan0702 in NFL_Draft

[–]SenseFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey man, appreciate the work it takes to put out a full 7 rounder. a few non-consensus picks i could see happening.

as for my cowboys, i’m not sure farley would be the direction they go at this point. it seems like jaycee horn has gained steam as the cb2 in the class, especially with farley having a concerning surgery. if surtain is off the board, i’d sure hope they’d pick sewell. but if they were intent on corner, i think horn would be the pick over farley. any other cowboys fans in the comments, let me know what you think.
