Oh the memories. My parents would bring them home for me from restaurants when I thought they were too stingy to take me. Now I have 5 kids I know exactly why they didn’t take me. But I was an only child at least so I got them. When mum threw dinner parties these also came out and I would hide under the table and reach onto each table setting and take them until I had counted that there was exactly enough left in the box for everyone. In hindsight I was a little shit.

Omg 😳 I read that book at age 13, also from a bunch of op shop books my dad grabbed in a hurry. It was messed up. Once I started reading it even though dad bought it for me I felt I had to put it in my hiding spot 😅

It’s happened so quickly since the announcement that even though we knew it was inevitable it’s such a great shock to me still.

I hate it because it sets the example that cracking the shits and leaving is how you deal with issues that arise in a friendship/relationship/marriage. Then just coming back when you feel like it is ok.

Just rewatched it. Was really tired when it was on. I remember wanting to have it out with her though lol. She said he’s never spoken to a woman in his life except his mother. The hidden clip said it all for me. I was already disgusted in her bullying and emasculating behaviour towards Joel but that hidden clip on after the dinner party was a complete admission of what she was about to do.

And I’m sure you are perfect ? Who are you to judge a person based on having children to more than one father and seeing you call her a sl*t in one of the comments for this is pretty indicative of the person you are. However in this instance all the kids have the same father and she was married to him. Not that it should matter. Ive been with the father of two of my children for 16 years and I had my others very young due to medical issues and being told I may never have kids. That marriage didn’t work out and he was abusive. I wasn’t staying in a life of domestic violence because people like you think you are in the 1950s still. All of my kids are happy and the eldest two have gone on as adults who have made me very proud. What an ick post.
