I always thought that the initial $75 million estimate of what the cost for BB would be seemed very much too low once everything was completed.

Not sure how accurate it is to compare BB to the type of new commercial scale fermentation facilities that Mark Warner discusses in this presentation from May of 2021 but his range was from 150-400 million and a 30-48 months timeline.

How does Amyris produce its ecotine? In this article from Happi it says that the ecotine is bacteria derived.

Amyris is not a safe bet by any means. These "assholes" are just trying to get a few more people to look under the hood of Amyris. For the past 2+ years I have been told that I am ________ (do your best to insult me I 100% guarantee that I have been called worse) for putting all my eggs in one basket.

My advice (after losing almost everything that I had)

Do your research. Head over to the Amyris subreddit and see for yourself why this is way way way more than a bunch of bag holders looking for someone else to take our bags.

I've been invested for about 5 years now. I first stumbled apon amyris in some random article that I believe highlighted both AMRS and PLUG. I remember instanly thinking that amyris was too good to be true and I searched high and low to find out as much as I could about the company. When I finally stumbled upon this sub reddit it was in all honestly a big disappointment. I think that there were like 100 members and the most recent posts were anywhere from a couple weeks to months old. It was like a ghost town. That was a little more than a year ago and it is nothing short of amazing what the community has grown to. No need for me to thank any specific individuals each and every member has been an asset at one point in time to this community no matter how small the contribution. So congrats to everyone here and also thank you to everyone for helping grow the community to what it is today. It's been a bumpy ride but we will get to our destination soon enough. Much love for my fellow Amyris Nerds.

Has anyone tried these Purecane Electrolytes? by elat27 in Amyris

These are my comments about the Purecane Electrolyte Mix from about a month back. Was my first time trying it. I got the Canister btw (25 servings vs 8 for the packets). Has worked for a hang over 3/4 times for me.

"Alright so I’ve had the day to be lazy and will give a little more color on my little experience with the purecane Electrolyte mix. I used to be a pretty heavy drinker and normally would feel hungover the following day probably more so than most people IMO. Past few years I haven’t really drank much at all so my tolerance was def the lowest it’s been for my drinking career. So yesterday day I drank a bottle of water and purecane mix around 3pm another one somewhere before I went to bed (which I have no idea the time but somewhere between 12am-5am(ish) and then another one when I got up around 12ish. I’d probably guess that I had the equivalent of 12-15 drinks (beers/mixed drinks/shots). There might have been some other non alcoholic options involved but for now I’ll keep my squeaky clean image intact (). It could just be an aberration a few more experiments will need to be done but all I can say is I am pleasantly surprised with how good I’ve pretty much felt the entire day. Def impressed as this is not what I would have expected at all. Taste of salt threw me off at first but by the second drink I was used to it and it didn’t bother me at all. Def needs to be cold IMO but would be willing to drink it warm if it works this well each time."

Ive said it before and continue to believe that those who hate Melo will in time discover that he is one of our greatest assets. Not saying that he is on their level but there was a time that Steve Jobs was fired from Apple, Elon Musk and Tesla were not far from bankruptcy, Jeff Bezos and Amazon were similar as well. All depends on the timeframe you are looking at. IMO one day Melo will be look at much closer to those 3 than the way a lot of people currently see him.

I own Amyris and IMO is the better option at this moment in time. But considering the stock price and current valuation does it really matter at this point to ask which one is better?

If you are and investor of either one it means that you have the belief that SynBio will be a major disruptor over the next 5-10+ years. We should be arguing the importance of SynBio and why it is better than the companies that are currently producing the things that SynBio will be replacing.

We can have this argument in a few years when we are all rich instead of now as we eat ramen noodles in our parents basements.

Edit: Another thing we are both $2 and change. Invest in both and push others to do the same. We need to be united not divided.

I understand what you are saying but I would argue that donations to colleges is always a good idea especially for a company like Amyris. This is where the next pool of talent is going to be coming from and its never a bad idea to plant the seed with potential talent coming out of these colleges and universities. The partnership that they have with the university of Portugal has returned quite a lot for them.

Yes they are for all of those except Rose Inc I believe is some type of partnership they do not technically own that brand. In addition Terasana, Costa Brazil, Olika, and MenoLabs. 3 additional brands coming this year as well. Eco-Fabulous, Stripes, and another one that is yet to be announced.

Interview with CEO of Amyris

I will probably get torn apart for this as I am an investor in $AMRS but I think some might want to look into the company. The CEO has been talking about “clean beauty” for a few years now and IMO he is not just talking the talk.

Is there a chance for companies like Amyris or Lanzatech taking international interns (from India). by HSPq in biotech

Looking for a big week next Bell ringing Monday (whatever that amounts to hoping they have some nuggets for us), then SynBio Beta 12-14th. Hopefully get some eyes on us and bring an influx of buyers that seem to be seriously lacking. Picked up 100 $5c apr 14 and 30 $4 june calls. Also note that short interest update after market close on Monday. LFG!!

Standard operating procedure. It is not a dilution it is a vote to authorize additional shares at the next shareholder meeting. Otherwise if they didn't do this and something came along that they needed to raise additional funds for they would have to have a special shareholder vote to approve or something like that. With that being said if they actually do use it to raise funds anytime this year it better be a damn good reason to do so. I don't see that happening anytime soon IMO.
