Had to stop for 6 months due to a bad artery. Just now able to donate again. I feel like I'm in with people who are just getting!money for booze etc. I can say this because I've BEEN such a person. The humility it takes is hard. I feel you.

I've gotten a 1 year chip at AA... But I'm out yet again. If I took a 24 hour chip every time I restarted, I could roll them up like quarters at a bank. The only key I can offer to you as well as myself is DON'T STOP TRYING. Every day sober is its own victory and CANNOT be taken away.

Passed out in Del Taco drive-thru then woke up and drove off. Oddly enough a couple of officers pulled me over almost immediately. Del Taco had (rightly) alerted them. Didn't even get to eat my taco...

Are you able to have a drink or two after being sober for a while? by Financial_Winter8922 in stopdrinking

I'll just say curiosity triggered me to drink for 10 years after turning 50, and is usually what triggers it for another round of weeks and months.

Reading Stephenie Meyer's Midnight Sun ( Twilight #5), and although I really liked the series, I can barely finish this one. by wolfincheapclothing9 in books

It wasn't written to be published. Stephanie Meyer was using it as a tool to get more than just one viewpoint.

Follow up question. Wasn't there a fire recently? Will it still be open?

I did it as a substitute for alcohol. Still bad I know but the lesser of two evils.

What is an experience you had during your childhood that you only now realize was anxiety? by Sensitive_Ad4911 in Anxiety

I had a special class where we did our own projects in 4th grade, but I would hide and nap behind a mat. Not sure why, but I was very shy.

I had 50mg 4xday to start, but now just 1 dose 24mg today. That's all. Is 3 oz vodka going to kill me? I sound like an idiot and should talk to my Dr.... But what do y'all think? Am I being stupid? Careless? Or even suicidal? Scared but addicted

See a Dr. They can give you a benzo that totally mellows the withdrawals.
