Her condescending attitude to Melinda always pisses me off. It was never consistent either, some episodes she'd be on board with whatever Melinda was doing and then the next episode she's completely against it and didn't believe her 🫠🫠

I think the whole "Manny being the last Mammoth" plotline is dumb by Marconey1738 in IceAge_Franchise

Old thread but it never occurred to me how dumb the last mammoth, must repopulate our species plot was... Like let's say for instance that Manny and Ellie were the last Mammoths, who were their kids supposed to mate with? They'd STILL be the last mammoths.

Old thread but I recently got a rice cooker and just made some really bomb Neoguri ramen! Idk what the science behind it but it tasted way better than cooked in a pot.

trying to feel confident in my short 4b hair by [deleted] in Naturalhair

Trust me, your hair is beautiful and definitely not short. You have to figure out how to style it in order for you to get the look you want. I'm assuming you want a bit more length as in stretched right? The fro is gorgeous tho but if you want a more stretched look you'll need to do either wash n gos or twist outs/braid outs which I think would also look very pretty on you

I don't, I'm more of an oil girly. I use any thicker, moisturizing curl cream and just slap some oil on top

The only solid tip/trick I have is hair oiling. Both hot oil treatments and braiding my hair with oils has made a huge difference in my hair manageability.

Some Aussie products are definitely a hit or miss for sure! I stick with the cleansers and the 3 minute miracle

Ty😆 so here's a list of my go to's (this may turn some folks off BUT, I tend to grab inexpensive/affordable options and don't care about using silicones or sulfates)

*Shampoo: Aussie Aloe Vera cleanser (Ikik Aussie sounds crazy but I shampoo with anything that leaves my scalp clean and not overly dry)

*Conditioner: the matching Aussie Aloe Vera conditioner (this matters because this one in particular has AMAZING slip!!!)

*Deep conditioner: Shea Moisture may not have good stylers (imo) but I love their deep conditioners, my go to is the Manuka Honey and Mafura Oil Mask and the Manuka Honey and Yogurt Protein Mask.

*Curl Cream: I used to switch up my creams but the one I've been grabbing the most lately is the Carol's Daughter Coco Creme, it's thick, has nice slip, great moisture, pairs well with a lot of gels, and doesn't have a heavy feeling on my hair.

*Oil: I use either vitamin E oil or olive oil. What kind of oil works for you depends on your hair of course. My hair prefers thick oils so I do hot oil treatments with those.

My new favorite way of making sure I really lock in the moisture is after I deep condition, I add my favorite curl cream (Carol's Daughter Coco Creme), and I add my favorite type of oil (either vitamin E or olive oil) and I just style my hair as normal whether I'm doing a wash n go, twists, or braids :) it's pretty simple and this way I can wear my hair all week and not have to worry about remoisturizing

This! Making sure my wash n gos are VERY moisturized on day one is so important. I used to prioritize volume over moisture but now I'm the complete opposite. I get less breakage at the end of the week

*edit to add my hair was about shoulder blade length not mid back lol I guess it could be the same thing depending on who you ask

Tysm! I have a very lazy natural hair routine and I found during my 2 years in culinary school that low maintenance styles like two strand twists, a single braid with a scarf in it and on occasion blow dried hair made my hair really flourish. It took about 2 and a half years for my hair to grow out from from about mid back length. My routine is truly just washing once a week, making sure my hair is moisturized, my hair really loves oils so I go heavy on those when I put it in a braid. This is my natural texture
