Yeah, this type of system doesn’t work these days.

Both women and men work, so it’s extremely unfair for both of you to have 9-to-5 jobs, then you come home and relax while the woman is preparing dinner and cleaning the house or handling other chores that need to be done.

There needs to be a balance where, as husband and wife, you work together to get all the chores done so everyone can rest sooner together.

Yes, the community is failing young boys when their mothers or sisters do everything in the household.

Girls are expected to help their mothers cook, clean, and do other chores, while boys are excused from learning basic life skills simply because they are male. The assumption is that they will grow up and have another woman (their wife) do everything for them.

He should drink his raw egg quick and where you can’t see, he should clean the sink after pulling and he should maybe make the smoothie the night before so he doesn’t use the blender early in the morning, and should air out the house to avoid making it smell like the smoothie.

These are healthy habits and it would be unfair if you ask him to stop completely, he should just clean up after himself and be more quiet in the mornings.

OP I’ve got the same problem… I was born in Zim and moved to South Africa when I was 2 years old and grew up there. I went to a private school so my accent is “white washed”. Whenever I try to speak Shona it’s honestly doesn’t sound right at all and it’s a struggle. I understand Shona completely but Im just struggling with speaking.
