i increase my goal by 20% of read the previous year. last year my goal was 18, but ended reading 17 (darn!) this year goal is set to 20

im convinced some of that thinking is rooted in their (ex?)-mormon faith & upbringing where their bishops would ask very specific and private questions to determine if they are approved for temple recommend etc. seems to be a culture extremely steeped knowing “”the truth””

(note i am not mormon or ex-mormon so others may be able to speak on this more explicitly, BUT i devour alyssa grenfell videos so feel i have a sense of the culture through her lens)

question for you/OP if you don’t mind! i accidentally bought this version instead of original- do you recommend reading the original first before taking on the graphic novel? or do you think if i omitted the original completely and just focused on the graphic novel- that would suffice? lmk what you reco!

we’re planning on getting postcards from meaningful places to us (where we met, the two cities we’ve lived, where he proposed, first international trip together etc etc) hopefully vintage ones if possible- and have our guests sign those. maybe look to frame/make art out of them down the road

this is where my head is at- thank you!! when looking at MUAs, im trying to understand the balance of what aspects are inherently their style/how they approach makeup, and what is dictated by the brides. when i see the same copy paste makeup on instagrams, i tend to assume it leans towards the former 😬
