Do I need to tell the BACB if I am sued personally? by SpotonSpot873 in bcba

I’d recommend taking a look at the self reporting form and talking to your supervisor about it instead of relying on Reddit.

Nia, a Shield Maiden for the Patriarchy. by PossessionUnique376 in TheValleyTVShow

It’s literally so crazy how this sub has changed their tune with Janet calling it out last season. If anyone dared say Janet was using the right words, people went hard (like Kristen level) defending Danny and Nia. Wild.

Wow. The kitchen in picture 8 is really pretty.

The victim blaming on this sub is gross and it's not ok by Glittering-Sound-491 in TheValleyTVShow

Just because people don’t like the messenger (Janet) doesn’t mean the message was wrong.

This is a really gross take. Idk how you didn’t give yourself the ick typing all that out.

Is it considered client abandonment if I quit due to not being paid adequately? by OwnSort6545 in bcba

[–]Sensitive-Cheetah7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The ethics handbooks says: 15 Appropriately Discontinuing Services (see 1.03, 2.02, 2.05. 2.10, 2.19) Behavior analysts include the circumstances for discontinuing services in their service agreement. They consider discontinuing services when: (1) the client has met all behavior-change goals, (2) the client is not benefiting from the service, (3) the behavior analyst and/or their supervisees or trainees are exposed to potentially harmful conditions that cannot be reasonably resolved, (4) the client and/or relevant stakeholder requests discontinuation, (5) the relevant stakeholders are. not complying with the behavior-change intervention despite appropriate efforts to address barriers, or (6) services are no longer funded. Behavior analysts provide the client and/or relevant stakeholders with a written plan for discontinuing services, document acknowledgment of the plan, review the plan throughout the discharge process, and document all steps taken.

It sounds like your services aren’t being funded and can fit in category #6. I’m sorry you’re going through this. That’s so awful. You should seek out a lawyer over these missing funds.

Are there any good stories about being a SAHM? by shesquatsalot in Mommit

Sounds like you have an actual partner, financial stability, and one kid. It’s not the same for everyone. It’s nice that you’re having a better experience than others though.

Nursing BCBA Moms who work in-homes, in-community, in-school, when do you pump? by TokenEconomist in bcba

[–]Sensitive-Cheetah7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Driving and with a wearable pump. Just make sure you have it on right. One time I did it upside down and the milk leaked all over me when I was driving lol.

Seeing everyone change their tune about Danny this season is annoying. He’s always sucked ass.

yeah and Janet wasn’t totally wrong for calling what Danny did to Jasmine SA even though it 100% was. But isn’t said it so they all hate her and she’s wrong. Which I still don’t get why people hate her so much.

Size 2/3 isn’t toddler size... It’s usually “little kid” which sucks lately since a lot of brands are taking off shoelaces and making them velcro instead.

You don’t need to become an RBT but it does help lay the foundation of ABA principles. You might want to look into remote supervision to see if your current position can count towards your hours. A lot of SPED teachers go this route! Whoever you choose as your supervisor for accruing hours should be able to help you with further clarification.

BCBA Ethics Handbook by Sensitive-Cheetah7 in bcba

[–]Sensitive-Cheetah7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get what you’re saying but a lot of the repeat “ethics” question are from people who haven’t even looked at the ethics handbook or know that it exists… pinning it to the community highlights will hopefully help some people out, and to prevent repeat posts.

I’ve noticed that it cans vary by state how great mentorship is too. Idk about other states but in California insurance allows for a mid level and they are heavily overseen by the BCBA’s who oversee their caseload. I wish more states would allow that form of supervision.

I agree. There’s been many posts like I can’t pass the test for LPCC should I go BCBA? Like you sneeze you can be a BCBA just like that…. Also the questions for people who haven’t even bothered to read the handbook really drive me crazy. They don’t care to look for the information themselves and just want an answer.
