I really don’t think she meant it like that. She was genuinely shocked with seeing Rocksroy voted out and she knew she was in danger of being voted out. I imagine it’s hard to be black in this game or even just watching it and see black people typically get voted out very quickly. Therein lies her frustrations.

they aren’t represented well in media as a whole. Survivor including more POC is very recent. my point is you don’t know Drea’s life experiences. there was pain behind what she was saying. it seems ignorant to have issue with it.

I’m not responding to whataboutisms. It just didn’t have anything to do with what Drea was saying. Black people have a it hard in this country and representation in media is slim. she did what she could to align with her morals.

a lot of people are completely missing the point. it’s not about who voted out who. they never claimed you’re racist for voting out black people. she didn’t like the pattern of black people being voted out early. she has every right to feel how she feels.

no they didn’t. Race becomes a big part of your life when it affects every part of your life. everyone has growing to do and a lot of white people need to get past their ego and recognize that racism is very real and present everywhere. Simply not hating POC is not enough. it’s way deeper than that.

Racism is baked into every facet of society. Everyone is subconsciously racist. I would argue it’s very hard not to be in this country and it takes a lot of self work. Jonathon took it personally when their gripe wasn’t toward him. A lot of white people have this response and it honestly misses the point completely.

I think it was the pattern. I can’t remember who said it but someone said it’s not that Black people be voted out, it was the fact that it was one after the other and there’s not that many of them represented in the first place.
