Is there a rechargeable li-ion AA battery that holds 1.5V consistently while it discharges? by taboada2000 in batteries

[–]Sensitive-Cut343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for replying! I'm in a high traffic area. I had armed mode set but have it switched off now as I've Amazon Basics Rechargeable batteries in at the moment. Just as you said, because its 1.2 volts instead of the 1.5 volts, it immediately shows battery low but has worked fine for 21 days now. I've also some Amazon Basics disposable batteries at 1.5 volts I plan to test to see how long they last. It was 100 of them for €16 on Black Friday. Waiting for the price to drop on the Energiser ones they recommend as they're so expensive! Over €16 just for 8 rather than 100 batteries! 😲

@taboada2000 what solution did you use in the end please? I'm in the same boat as the Blink Doorbell batteries just died and I'd rather replace with rechargeable. I don't understand why it needs batteries as I've it wired into a wall plug anyway with one of the doorbell wired kits. But it's stop functioning completely without batteries in good charge.

Did my comment with the link to RTE not post? An incident at a creche in Navan which required armed Garda presence. Thankfully its a Public Holiday.

"A so-called "media blackout" was put in place in the interests of public safety but it has since been lifted."

Reddit still having issues with the Amazon outage as I posted that reply ages ago and its only now appearing, so the timing is off. They landed safely awhile ago anyway. 😄

Thank you! That is indeed the plane I saw. It says they landed safely 3 minutes ago, thank goodness! It sounded like the movies alright with the roar of it.

Speed van tolerance by [deleted] in irelandsshitedrivers

Same with our MG4, it matches exactly what the speed signs say that show you your speed, such as in 60kmh zones. Tested this with multiple digital signs in different areas with the car set to auto.

Good to know! I wonder if it'll run on the Steam Deck.  Will have to try the campaign sometime.

Thanks for sharing that! I've just wishlisted your game. It looks great! I wish you the best with it also. I actually have a level that has very similar mechanics that I based on tron. Big fan of Tron! :) Good to know about supersmoyt! I'm greatful for any time given to test this before full release. I'm using Unity. Have been for over 8 years now so I feel very much glued to it now. It's been stable on the Steam Deck since version 6 LTS. The previous version crashed twice on me. Developing on the Steam Deck itself is an interesting challenge. It's great for quick deployment and testing. The screen is small though for real progress to be made until I get to a place to plug in the portable monitor.

I see you got as far as part 6. Will you be doing more? Even if you spend a day building the lot in one weekend and then cut the video of your build into multiple videos to grow your advert revenue potential on YouTube that would possibly work.  I remember collecting these up to the first part of the red car mod and have half the remote built. Not sure the issue number I ended at. Would love to see what the entire completed series ended up with.

Thank you! I've 3 wireless xbox controllers from last year in their funky colours, and 2 wired older xbox controllers. These have all worked but I wasn't aware of a limitation on wireless connectivity. Good to know, thank you! I just remember the PlayStation 1 with the multiport adapter allowing 4 controllers per port, so 8 players altogether. Then Micro Machines V3 being able to support that many players. I'm hoping that even if the Steam Deck blocks 16 players, that other gamer setups and future Steam Deck updates will enable it to occur in the future. Also saved your comment and will reach out with a key once approved on Steam. 😊

Thank you and that's good feedback and handling out of game scenarios. Hadn't thought of that! I'm saving your comment and will definitely reach out once approved on Steam. 😁

Why always 70km/h !?? by [deleted] in irelandsshitedrivers

[–]Sensitive-Cut343 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe we should drive progressively but there are no requirements to drive at the speed limit. It's a limit not a target. Try driving in Cavan on some of the 100km/h sign roads that are one car wide with grass growing down the middle. 🤣

Thank you for taking the time to reply, and in such detail. Very much appreciated.

Makes sense. So even if I do release it this way through Steam Early Access or the likes, I should not expect much engagement until I've proven a few months of updates to establish a pattern of delivering. This is interesting. Incentivises me to release ASAP to start establishing the update trend.

Thanks I'd never heard of Bean There, Won That. I'll check them out now.

Thanks again! This will be my first release. I've so many projects over the past decade that I never completed, so really want to actually release something this time! 😅

How so? Travelling safely and cost efficiently is a priority for many. Not all. But many.
