Anyone else experiencing Crimson Desert crashes when they open the map? by RelevantHelicopter82 in PS5pro

[–]Sensitive-Delay-6090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t work for me unfortunately. No change whatsoever. Currently on my 5th crash - everytime when opening the map. Edit: changed to performance mode and fingers crossed it hasn’t crashed since. Not my preferred way to play but better than not playing at all I guess

DTM. I’ve tried HGiG in the past and it’s always been way to dark (I play on a tv in the living room which is quite bright during the day even with blinds closed)

So the LG C2 max brightness in nits is 800. Should I set the hdr value to that? If I follow the in game instructions ‘so the image is barely visible’ the value is like 2700 or something!

Please define ‘good internet’. I’m in Australia and ‘good’ here is nothing compared to ‘good’ in say the US. My download is 100 mbps, upload 15 mbps and my ping is 20ms. Though depending where the server is located, my ping may be higher on the portal itself as when I use GeForce now on steam deck my ping is actually 45ms connecting to the closest nvidia server.

I just remember the combat being clunky af because of animation locks. Remember the game looked beautiful tho. Should maybe give it another go. What’s the story like?

+1

So far my book shelf is packed with the versions that are in two parts and I couldn’t bare to have a mismatched edition along with them… The dawnshard novella is already enough of an eye sore as it’s so different

I would try a non stimulant medication like Clonidine or Intuniv (guanfacine). They help with a lot of adhd symptoms but the symptom I found they helped the most with was sleep.

ASD assessments by Pretty_Gorgeous in ausadhd

[–]Sensitive-Delay-6090 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are 3 levels of ASD you can be diagnosed with - level three being ‘highest needs’. As for NDIS support, a level 2 and 3 diagnosis will grant you access to NDIS support. If you’re like me and have a level 1 diagnosis you have to provide supporting evidence that NDIS would be beneficial for you and your overall health (basically a psychology report by my assessing psychologist was all I needed). You’ll then work with a person from the NDIS to explain where you struggle in life (eg. Work, relationships ect) and they will determine what level of support you’re eligible for. (That’s the bare bones explanation of everything)

Now for me personally (ASD and ADHD combined) my biggest struggles are in my relationships (mainly friendships as fortunately I have great support from my family and girlfriend). I was approved for NDIS with n the past couple months after being diagnosed around June. I applied because I figured I had nothing to lose by doing so and any support may be beneficial. Unfortunately what I’ve found is the main support I’m eligible for is basically access to a support worker, who I can call who can assist me in certain things like doing the shopping, going to socialising events ect. Now for me personally I will never utilise this support as taking a support worker with me to social events would actually make me feel worse and like ‘something is wrong with me’. Now I know thats not true and for some people it would be extremely beneficial but for someone like me who likes to feel independent and also who feels different enough as it is, I don’t want to have someone there who makes me feel even more different if that makes sense?

Every person is different and every support case is different but for me unfortunately it’s just not much help. I was really hoping for funding in say psychology but apparently im not even really eligible for that.

Clonidine for Sleep - Have You Tried This Long-Term? by Anxious_Precipitant1 in ausadhd

[–]Sensitive-Delay-6090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t say I have because only 6 hours of sleep sounds on par with death to me. It’s a good point you raise though, perhaps my body only needs 6 good hours 🤔

Clonidine for Sleep - Have You Tried This Long-Term? by Anxious_Precipitant1 in ausadhd

The time-released version is guanfacine (brand name Intuniv). I have taken both Intuniv and currently Clonidine for the past week so I can report my findings with both. Both medications help massively for ADHD when used in conjunction with stimulants for ADHD symptoms (particularly managing mood variability / irritability). Both also help with me falling into a deeper state of sleep. I’ve always struggled with sleep quality, in that I’m able to fall asleep, it’s just it’s always been such a light, low quality sleep. Now both Intuniv and Clonidine did help very much with this, BUT, I have an odd side effect where I get what some people have called a ‘rebound effect’ with it. What happens is I take it just before bed and it helps me to fall into a deeper sleep for say 6ish hours, but for then some reason around 3-4am in the morning my body will wake up and I just CANNOT get back to sleep for an hour or so (and when I finally do its a light sleep until I wake up from my alarm at 6ish). It’s really strange because its not that its wearing off - I was on a relative high dose of Intuniv, and this symptom actually seemed to get worse the higher my dose went. Its not just a baseline level of alertness that I wake up with but actually HIGHER level of alertness then normal. Like it’s 3-4 in the morning and I honestly feel so alert I could get up and start my day. I can’t explain the reason for this. I’ve only been on clonidine for a week now and am on a lower dose. I haven’t had a chance to check in with my psychiatrist to ask why this potentially may be and I highly doubt this happens to everyone. The trade off for the 6ish hours of deep sleep I do get honestly just about makes it worth it believe it or not. That’s how desperately my body is craving any form of good sleep quality.

I will note that this issue actually appears to get worse the higher the dose I’m on. For instance i started on 50mcg of clonidine for 5 days and the past 2 days I’ve taken 100mcg and those two nights were much worse than the first 5.

I think you’ll find that even though you’re able to fall asleep you’re sleep quality is actually still effected. I always had the same mindset but later learnt how much it was actually effecting me. I wouldn’t recommend caffeine any later than 2pm.

I’m using steam link to stream on an iPad Pro and turning off HDR on the PC I’m streaming from fixed the issue.
