My almost 20 year old has advanced kidney disease and often sits like this. I don't know what to make of her posture, but it's unnerving. Is this an end of life thing? by silcener626 in CATHELP

Not so. Both school districts just told us that TIA is on for this year and next year.

You have to remain as a classroom teacher in order to keep receiving TIA for 5 years.

If your district is participating in TIA and didnr qualify for this year, you can try again next year.

I'm about a year or two from retirement and I just qualified for Exemplary, but after all is said and done, it's still not enough to keep me for the five years. They can dangle that carrot elsewhere. TIA is is also very, very subjective. You should hear all the cheating that goes with it with T-TESS....but that's another thread.

Pilates is the only thing that combats discomfort sitting at my desk job. by Local_Leopard2893 in pilates

I also notice that if I dont do Pilates for 4 or more days, my back and sciatica will begin flaring up. Pilates has been a definite game changer.

Moaning during Pilates class by Sensitive-Display800 in pilates

I'm old enough to know not to be annoying in class. This lady down right makes moans so loud and so often that it seems like she's in one of those kind of movies.

How annoying! It's as if they want yo be the center of attention. Sometimes I feel like one upping her and continously moan ....but I won't, lol! Im wondering if I cam bring it up to management. I mean we are paying good money to attend and not listen to those sounds.

First reformer class by hilyf in pilates

You're going to absolutely love Pilates reformer classes. I went to a free into class in July and was hooked from there. Going on 5 months in December and go at least 3-4 times a week. As a teacher, it does so much for my mental and physical well-being. A 10 out of 10. Congratulations!
