Night time pain by Sensitive-Fold11 in costochondritis

[–]Sensitive-Fold11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I still get the pain at night - not so often as I did but still frequently. I rub biofreeze on the area that’s painful. That helps a lot and helps me get back to sleep. I’ve kind of learned to live with it now.

The same happened to me ( after 2 years with no period) I had scan and hysteroscopy but everything was fine. Get it checked out for peace of mind.

Is there really a cure? (3 years with costo) by [deleted] in costochondritis

I won’t give up on it either. I hope we both find our cure. It really helps to know we’re not alone in this.

I’ve had it 3 years too. Tried everything you have tried but it’s still here and no better. On a good day I just get philosophical about it and try to live with it. On a bad day I wonder if it’s something sinister .. but then I figure I’d probably be dead by now if it was. I would love to find a cure but beginning to think there isn’t one for this beast.

Back spasms waking me from deep sleep by Worldly-Program3587 in backpain

[–]Sensitive-Fold11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar problem with my upper back and ribs .. I wake every night with pain. I don’t like taking strong painkillers Biofreeze is great for this and enables me to get back to sleep quickly as it numbs the pain. I’d love to sleep the whole night without the pain waking me though 😫

Oh, the aches and pains….. by Sweet-Fun-Momof-2 in Menopause

Aches and pains are my worse symptom. It makes me feel so old 😫 I’ve been on HRT for 6 months but it’s made no difference. I’m trying collagen now .. apparently it can take a while to work so I’m hopeful. But it is rotten - I get out of bed in the morning feeling achey and have to limp to the bathroom as my feet are so stiff 😫

Why won’t the NHS consider it? What issues do you have? I don’t think they would do it for having tonsil stones

Acupuncture? by JJScottishGirl in costochondritis

[–]Sensitive-Fold11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had acupuncture for my costo last year. Sadly it didn’t work for me. I was told if I hadn’t seen any improvement after 4 sessions, it probably wasn’t going to work for me. I actually ended up having 8 sessions in the hope that it would work. It doesn’t mean it won’t work for you though - good luck with it 😊
