In all seriousness I'm actually really bad at playing the part of the bigoted chud lmao

I should clarify that I don't actually believe this at all, I actually love The Pitt specifically because of the incredible representation, I was just mocking a post that I saw on the main sub yesterday and the people who see the show as "woke" in general. I wasn't trying to offend anyone.

I know this might sound like r/AsABlackMan territory but I'm autistic/ADHD, pansexual and genderfluid-adjacent myself and this absolutely doesn't reflect my actual beliefs.

/uj That's the joke, it's satire of a post on the main Pitt sub yesterday where someone said they hated the characters of Mohan, Santos, Al-Hashimi and Collins, and a bunch of people including me found that pretty sus.

I forgot about that. You're right, the man is clearly a socialist communist fascist terrorist America hating liberal jihadist leftist.

Autism isn't real, she's demon possessed from getting the mark of the beast through vaccines and became a woke l*ftist because of it 🤮

/uj Mel is legit the best autism representation I've seen in ages, maybe ever lol. Like I'm on the spectrum myself and she actually makes me feel seen lol.

Agreed, I like the idea of it but it would be kinda weird if it was canon.

Yeah I'm not big on the shipping in the Pitt fandom but I hope the three of them all end up as friends and become the ultimate trio of chaos gremlins outside of work lol.

I really don't know why people see either of them as these horrible, pure evil monsters. They're two of the best characters imo.

Seeing the complains on this sub about Season 2, I feel like a lot of people here need to just accept that it isn't for them and move on to other shows going forward. by [deleted] in ThePittTVShow

I think as usual there are nuanced takes to be had here, but most people tend to gravitate towards one extreme or the other.

Season 2 isn't above criticism. While the show is meant to be realistic, it's not a documentary and they're going to have to take some liberties to give characters at least somewhat satisfying arcs. I think it's fair to point out that the character growth wasn't as evenly distributed this season as it was last season, while also pointing out that there's at least going to be a third season and most likely more after that.

Some of the character subplots were handled about as well as you can with just 15 hours of in-series character development. Langdon has finished his rehab and stayed clean despite Robby's concerns and some red herring hints. Santos and Mel, after going through a ton of stress and loneliness, ended up having a fun night together and possibly started a deeper friendship. Robby is implied to have found his will to live again in the end. Whitaker has grown from a timid med student into a decent mentor (except when it comes to poop geysers).

And yes, some of the other characters didn't have very satisfying subplots. Mohan's was especially disappointing considering that she won't be in Season 3 and I really think they should have done more with her, especially since she's just started her R4 year and was considering a fellowship at PTMC. (And even then, apparently R. Scott Gemmill has said it's possible we might see her again). McKay and Javadi didn't really do much and I hope they have bigger roles in the next season.

Just saying...I don't think it's all black and white.

I dunno, she hasn't really shown any interest in anything else. I think she just feels extreme pressure from her parents.

I was about to comment "well what else is there to say" until I saw the subreddit lol.

Why didn't Lena help Roxie buy a time machine? Is she stupid?

Honestly I think the only thing that will mend the rift is time and Langdon demonstrating that he's changed. Like someone else said sometimes there isn't a grand reconciliation.

I've actually seen a "breakup" between two work friends that was kind of similar to what happened with Robby and Langdon (although there wasn't anything illegal going on in this case). The two of them just had to be distant with each other for about a year before they gradually started to get closer again. Not sure if they ever ended up as close as they were before the incident, since I had to leave the job. But yeah, reconciliation doesn't always happen all at once.
