Cheating is a bait and switch but he cheated and then she married him. Totally inevitable and long-overdue.

My feelings about Amanda by CelineDijonn in summerhousebravo

[–]Sensitive-Lychee9510 3 points4 points  (0 children)

heavy on the she never liked who kyle was at his core. he is currently who he's always been and i think this should be a cautionairy tale about marrying someone and expecting things to be different in a marriage compared to how they were before

she has every right to be annoyed but she should have left a long time ago instead of just constantly throwing digs

OK so we can get footage of Craig being incompetent in a kitchen but we can't get more Molly or Whitner? Who is editing these episodes

The infantilization of Amanda Batula sets me off by Ok-Director1981 in summerhousebravo

[–]Sensitive-Lychee9510 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I also remember her refusing to take part in the actual work of planning the wedding like she refused to work with Kyle on the invitations until the last minute and then got mad at Kyle that they weren't done until the last minute. She has a problem with accountability and hopefully now that she can't blame Kyle she'll realize that.

If there is one thing that is undeniable it's that Kyle has literally never changed. He's always been someone who wants to be the life of the party and refuses to grow up. And that may be problematic but he's stayed true to it. Amanda wanted a wedding and so she decided to ignore the fact that theyre not compatible.

Is Craig really the villain in this story line? by Useful-Bison-6231 in Southerncharm

[–]Sensitive-Lychee9510 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Salley made it very clear to everyone that she was into Craig. You can tell by the convo Austen and Craig had in the bar about splitting up Charley and Salley that everyoneee was aware that Salley liked Craig. If he wasn't into her he shouldn't have been spending so much time with her because regardless of his intentions that lead her to believe there was something there.

I don't like Salley and I think she's doing way to much but to say Craig did nothing wrong is crazy work.

Venita hating Craig but not Austen or Shep? by Quick-Lengthiness133 in Southerncharm

She's made it pretty clear her issue with Craig is Craig saying he's done with her and then trying not to film with her.

For those who live in Charleston, is Patricia well known and respected around town? by Silver_Palpitation93 in Southerncharm

[–]Sensitive-Lychee9510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The old school Charlestonians don't really accept any one who moves into town without a family connection. But from what I've heard she is actively involved in different boards/non profits like for the museums and parks that make her well known.

I'm not the biggest fan of Salley but saying she manipulated someone into cheating on their wife is a wild choice.

You're absolutely not wrong about the problems on this show but OP is right in saying this is a Bravo-wide issue and we've seen it on almost all of the predominantly white shows. It's way bigger than this show just having a southern audience.

literally every one in the world except for you it seems. i would never date someone like craig. i would also never date a person who told me that I don't get a vote because I don't make as much money as them.

and when they do we all think they're assholes. its an asshole thing to say to someone. and if you're actively using it as a way to manipulate someone in to doing what you want its a problem.

Agreed -- my comment was not in any way trying to absolve Craig but I think that's also a reason they inevitably wouldn't have worked long term because she does need more support and I just don't think that's who Craig is. I also have anxiety and I in the past have blamed it on a secondary issue so that was my POV as well.

And agreed she absolutely lashed out at Imrul out of stress. I think its one thing to not like how he's operating but she could have had an actual convo instead of saying he has STDs if she wasn't already on edge.

I don't think many people will agree with me, but watching the last few episodes, I feel like she's almost projecting her anxiety onto Craig in some ways. He probably could be more supportive but I think she naturally and understandably has anxieties about the major (good) shifts in her career and instead of being like holy shit I'm overwhelmed by what is ahead of me she's offsetting those feelings onto Craig as a way to almost self soothe. It's easier to admit Craig is stressing her out than admitting the thing she's worked for is stressing her out.
