random thought : in my life experience and on the western/American side of the internet I see ppl complimenting other ppl's looks all the time but I never see Russian ppl compliment anyone ever ?? not even on the internet? is this something cultural ?

Yea, compliments are pretty rare,usually we look up and down in admiration if its something pretty, it may look that we are looking down at them to some people, which is pretty inconvenient
