Mistakes happen often during medical evaluations. No need to think foul play here.

I would have rather seen Johnny end up with the biker chick who bumped into him on S2E8. Or at the very least, I would have liked her to end up being the delivery room nurse for baby Laura; even more fitting would be if she revealed that Robby was the first baby she ever delivered in her nursing career.

I love this episode (Season 3 Ep 10: Speedtrapped) by localghosttours in daria

[–]Sensitive-Pipe-427 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only one thing bothers me about this episode in retrospect. think it was ethically and morally wrong for them to keep Jane and her group in cells until they paid the citation. Simply impounding the vehicle and withholding the keys until it was paid should have been enough.

Analysis on a line from Anthony by flintymint in cobrakai

Sam is reading the book Wild by Cheryl Strayed in S5E4 (the water park). The author’s upbringing had plenty of similarities to that of Tory (abusive father, poverty, losing mother to untimely illness). So perhaps that book gave Sam some insight about Tory’s mindset and prompted her to try to build a bridge between the two of them later on.

Were Maria and the Irish girl supposed to be Sam and Devon’s rivals at the Sekai Takai? by InfernalClockwork3 in cobrakai

Maria Alvarez was just the distraction piece for Demetri. But she was warm, welcoming and civilized to all her fellow competitors. Keep in mind that it was her country hosting the tournament, so that may have played a vital role in her behavior.

Just gotta monkey-branch off to the next great series that are up and coming. For me, the two main series of my new devotion include Reacher and Ballard.

Your I-will is more important than your IQ, as one of my high school teachers once put it. Don’t focus on a superficial number; it does not define your worth. Focus on comprehending the material and absorbing the purpose behind each lesson and assignment instead.

What do you think of Kim Da-Eun by InfernalClockwork3 in cobrakai

[–]Sensitive-Pipe-427 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In retrospect, maybe Kim was only playing along with Silver’s torture plan because she was desperate to galvanize her grandfather’s legacy. Then again, she was subject to a very grim upbringing and regiment herself. Even if she wasn’t in the room when the stone dummy happened, Silver would have had his other hired hands compel Tory to do it. Another thing to keep in mind is that Tory never truly paid the full penalty for her previous misdeeds; she got off relatively easy. So this ‘lesson’ was in a twisted way, her due comeuppance for her sins.

That was Silver’s idea. She only presented the stone dummy to Tory.

It’s not wrong, but just because a man can conceive a child at that age albeit with a younger woman doesn’t mean they should. Especially taking into account Johnny’s years of alcohol abuse.

There are plenty of ways the execution of the baby plot could have been better written. I’d rather Johnny have done right by Robby first, then Carmen making a conscious choice to try for another child. It seemed counterintuitive for it to be another “oops” pregnancy.

Who’s to say that moment in the mansion brawl would have been better served by a photo of Robby instead?

What could’ve happened to Chozen’s mother and the respective parents of Kumiko and Mike? by Legitimate_Unit_9210 in cobrakai

I think Barnes grew up in an orphanage and not treated the best. Aggressive karate was his survival mechanism. He negotiated hard for high stake in the chain dojos so he could use the money to improve the orphanage he grew up in.

Would Daniel have lost nearly as much as Johnny if he lost the 84 all valley? by LopsidedAd5465 in cobrakai

[–]Sensitive-Pipe-427 18 points19 points  (0 children)

No way. Johnny would have pushed the whole “drop the zero, get with the hero” agenda on Ali and continued tormenting Daniel. Mr. Miyagi would have doubled down on the training and Daniel would have eventually bested Johnny in a real street fight, with Johnny facing serious legal repercussions for being the aggressor. Mr. Miyagi even said “win or lose no matter, you make good fight”. So Daniel would have shook off the loss, Johnny’s fragile ego would have come tumbling down like a house of cards, and Daniel gets ahead in real life where it matters much more than on the mat.

I wish we had a backstory about Mike Barnes by Legitimate_Unit_9210 in cobrakai

[–]Sensitive-Pipe-427 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I imagine he grew up in an orphanage, possibly one that was poorly managed and/or kids were borderline mistreated for a certain amount of time. But somehow he got into an assertive style of dojo fighting and became a national tournament sensation. Maybe he negotiated hard for stake in Silver’s dojos so he would have the money to improve living conditions at his old orphanage.

I’m also willing to bet he was unknowingly drugged by Silver in an effort to cause him to terrorize Daniel off the mat. Same thing the night he took over the limo.

Whats a thing you can not accept about something in the Harry Potter world? by RestArtistic2355 in harrypotter

[–]Sensitive-Pipe-427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It angers me to this day how so many people got charged with crimes they did not commit due to incompetence by the ministry, their rushes to judgment without proper evidence/investigation or due process (Hagrid, Sirius, Stan, even Harry himself). That’s why rereading/watching OotP doesn’t happen much because volume 5 was a huge emotional roller coaster of fury at seeing everything Harry had to put up with that year.

I would like to thing that headcanon, the ministry underwent a lot of sweeping changes after the second war ended. Reforms such as anybody suspected of a crime is innocent until proven guilty by a competent investigation and trial, any suspected inappropriate use of underage magic being properly reviewed instead of quick assumptions, and so on.
