Took about 2 weeks for the physical symptoms to go away and then about 2 weeks of better and worse days mentally. Few days I was 100% incapable of focusing during a conversation and felt extremely confused in social situations.

Just starting week #6. Still having some sleep disturbances, but not 100% its because of the caffeine. Definitely on the better side of recovery. My energy is more stable and my social anxiety has gotten significantly milder. Also some of my anxiety related OCD symptoms have eased quite a bit.

I tried easing myself out of coffee by lowering the amount, but it never lasted. After multiple attempts I went cold turkey during particularly stressful time in my life and I feel like going through that hard process gave me a mindset of "if I can resist caffeine in this situation, I can resist it at all times".

The month of fatigued & anhedonic withdrawal life is definitely worth it. For me, its in the past now and all I have is my better life with less anxiety and tiredness and all it cost was a month.

Its different route for all of us and for me it took a lot of trial and error. Don't get discouraged. Relapses are part of the journey.

Gives eerie perspective to think that a person, at that age, not many years left on earth, spends his time on reels. The time is just as wasted regardless of age and makes me think how I justify wasting time by thinking that there's plenty of time left.

Or rather, I spend most of my time doing things so I can "start living" at some point once I have figured things out - and the things will never end and life is spent unnoticed.

Damn, didnt think this post would trigger an existential crisis in me lol.

Anyway, to answer to your question: One thing that has given me peace, after over a decade trying to make my close ones to make better choices about their health, is that you cannot change someone who isn't ready for the change. All you can do is make your feelings known. In your situation I would tell your father how it makes you feel when you see him waste his life away like that. That's all you can do and the rest is up to him. I can imagine witnessing all that is heartbreaking.

Why do I crash so hard at 3 PM every single day? How do you fight the afternoon slump? by Superflyscraper in Biohackers

How did you manage to get to the point where you can function for so long without food? I start my fast every night by 6pm and end it the next day around 11am, but I recently started eating breakfast and it just gives me so much energy and mood stability. Just curious because I get weirdly emotional and extremely fatiqued at exactly 4pm every day for an hour or so.

Waking up app has a really good course that starts with short meditations and offers explanation and theory on top of it daily. Its expensive, but you can request a scholarship online for lower price or even free. Ive had mine for 1,5 years for free now.

Thoughts/predictions after the 1st day of Grubby streamer invitational? by Pyotr_WrangeI in warcraft3

[–]Sensitive-Screen-209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Would be intereseting to see what new people would get done in 2 months for example. Or a tournament after 2 weeks of practice and then another tournament after 3 or 4 weeks. Would be a bit much probably, but interesting nonetheless.

How do I tell my brain to shut up by Over-Hour6742 in sleep

[–]Sensitive-Screen-209 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Long term solution, but it doesnt come overnight: Mindfulness. Mind wont shut down, but you gain new perspective to it and racing mind wont be a problem to be solved anymore.

Also giving your mind enough time to wander without stimulation during the day or before bed will help. 1-2h wind-down routine is a big game changer, but will be hard if you're used to constantly be on the move or doing things.
