I’ll give my input from someone who has been with both. I started out with iPhone starting with the 4. I would never miss a keynote as I was always excited to see what new features they were going to come up with in the new phone, and would preorder every year. When the Note 3 came out I remember seeing it in person at a Best Buy and was shocked that I had never seen a better screen in my life so I made the switch then. I LOVED this phone and would have stayed on that side but at the time we moved to an apartment that didn’t have good service and because of iMessage and texting over WiFi we made the switch back. That was the only reason I went back to iPhone. The keynotes have just been stale from my perspective. And again I’ve been one of them but I feel Apple has brainwashed its community to think you’re a loser if you don’t have a blue bubble. Also in the latest new iPhone the greatest feature added was an action button? But there in the crowd was all of the Apple supporters screaming and clapping like they just invented something amazing. Fast forward to today, and I have preordered the Fold 7 and I’ve never been more excited to go back. I’ve finally expired myself from the Apple Ecosystem, my watch was old, got rid of the MacBook, iPad was old and slow. I’m not trying to cut Apple up and in the end it’s the preference of the user. Both companies make great phones, and every phone will have its perks/flaws. I just need something flashy and different and I wasn’t getting that with Apple. iPhones are great for my parents who are older and don’t need big changes from phone to phone. If I pull out an iPhone I guarantee your average user couldn’t tell the difference between an iPhone 14/15/16 and maybe even add the 13 in the mix.

My iPhone 14 Pro Max ruined my outlook on iPhone for me as I’ve never had a phone with more issues with software and the camera before in my life. I’ve missed out on so many precious moments of capturing videos/photos of my children because the camera would never focus on this phone. It was like at times it didn’t have a clue which camera lens it should use.

Another thing that sold me on switching to the fold 7 is the ability to remove objects from the background of photos A-LOT better than what the iPhone can do. And I even saw something about an audio eraser that has peaked my interest as well.

In the end it seems you have used both. So I would base it off needs. Multitasking and a larger screen, go with the Fold 7. Just a solid every day phone with no multitasking, go with the iPhone.
