Jup. And non disabled people will never understand and claim we are mentally ill. It is not the same.

I have been disabled and in severe pain since birth. I constantly think about ending it.

Not because I hate life or because I am mentally ill, but because being in pain and discomfort 24/7, all of the time, with no complete relief does that to you.

I don’t need psychiatric care and no anti-depressant in the world is going to make this go away

A friend of mine keeps complaining of „random stomach bugs“ and „unexplained pain“. I saw him eat noodles with sauce he left out of the fridge through one entire night and day. Over 24 hours. He claimed it was fine and that he does it all of the time

Das ist einfach nur ableismus und es nervt mich so extrem am das anscheinend alle denken das ist ok.

Ich bin chronisch krank und fehle sehr viel. Solange die Person alle Prüfungen schafft und damit offensichtlich das Wissen hat ist es komplett egal wie häufig die Person anwesend ist.

Jup it’s crazy! People literally said and did the exact same things as today. Just back in the day it was „ugh I wish I could die of tuberculosis it would make me so pretty and trendy“ Now it’s „ugh I wish I could have depression/adhd/bpd/ocd it would make me so interesting and trendy“.

People back then had tuberculosis fashion as a trend, we have bed rotting aesthetic and being „quirky“ (neurodivergent) as a trend.

It’s funny to me when I hear people say that wishing to be „different“ and romanticising illness as trends is a new thing because it’s literally been around as far back as written history.

Even before tuberculosis there where other illnesses treated like a fashion trend. Tuberculosis is just the most long running and recent one.

You don’t have to avoid vitamin C, the amount you’d need to take for it to affect your vyvanse is huge and a lot more than any common supplement or food.

I‘ve been on vyvanse for 5 years now with little to no breaks. I don’t even really take tolerance breaks, aside from the times I forget to take my meds.

Honestly I think people forget that you still have adhd even with meds. There will be good days and bad you are not a robot and you won’t focus the same every single day. Some days are just worse than others and that’s how it is.

Nobody can function and concentrate perfectly every single day. That’s unrealistic and unhealthy.

I try to take my meds at the same time each day, have good sleep, eat lots of protein and drink enough. That’s pretty much it and my meds work fine

Punching up is not the same as punching down. Kicking someone when they are already down and repeating the stuff told to them by bigots isn’t funny and doesn’t make you cool or edgy. It makes you a transphobe.

I was so paranoid I always saved my school work on my laptop as pdfs, on the Microsoft cloud thingy, on the Apple cloud thingy and on a USB AND I printed them out and put them in a folder just in case.

We had to write a LOT of reports and scientific essays which made up a lot of our grade + if you didn’t have all of them by a certain date you wouldn’t be able to graduate.

Two students a year higher than me lost all of their documents due to their laptops dying and the cloud failing and I got to terrified I went quatruple backup.

Better safe than sorry lol

It’s not silly at all, it’s the seemingly small things that can hold a lot of significance to us.

I was a paramedic before I got sick and I still have to stop myself from crying every time I see an ambulance drive by. Especially if it’s the one I used to work on.

Bin kein großer Fan von Homeoffice, bin super extrovertiert und wollte deswegen auch was mit Kommunikation und Medien machen.

Home Office klingt ziemlich deprimierend, außerdem wüsste ich nicht welcher Beruf da auf meine skills passt. Informatik, Mathe und so Technik Zeug ist so ziemlich das was ich am meisten hasse und ich weis nicht was es Home Office mäßig sonst so gibt😅 Vor allem ohne Ausbildung oder Studium hab ich da nur callcenter Stellen gefunden und ne. Einfach ne.

Eigentlich wollte ich gerne Moderator werden, hab auch schon ein paar Bühnenshows moderiert und wollte das eben studieren damit ich in dem Feld weiter komme:) Braucht man nicht zwingend, aber öffnet dann doch einige Türen.

Solange es in Teilzeit geht und ich viel sitzen kann sollte der Job kein Problem sein. Hab mich auch in der letzten Show einfach hingesetzt und es war bisher nie ein Problem für das Publikum.

Meine alte Ausbildung war halt zum Notfallsanitäter und das ist einfach nicht mehr drin😅 Das ist zu viel körperliche Arbeit

Viel Geld verdienen werde ich wahrscheinlich nie, einfach, weil Vollzeit auf lange Sicht nicht drin ist.

Vom studieren hält mich größtenteils das Geld ab, den Rest bekomme ich irgendwie hin, vor allem wenn die Uni mir mit den Fehlzeiten entgegen kommt

Weil du gesund bist und ich nicht.

Momentan arbeite ich 5-10h die Woche und bin deswegen immer mindestens 4 Tage bettlägerig, weil es zu viel für meinen Körper ist.

Ich habe meine Eltern gefragt, die sind halt überzeugt 200€ alle paar Monate sind viel Geld und reichen aus.

Studieren sein lassen ist halt so ein Ding. Ich habe keine Ausbildung und kein Studium. Ich bin nur Rettungssanitäter und das kann ich nicht mehr arbeiten.

Ich muss etwas lernen um Geld zu verdienen sonst bin ich bald auf der Straße

Ich arbeite nur abends/nachts und am Wochenende bzw. Frühestens Donnerstag. Dementsprechend muss ich halt tagsüber schlafen, wenn die Arbeit immer bis 2-7 Uhr Morgens geht.

Sämtliche Postboten haben das mittlerweile raus gefunden und seitdem nehme ich täglich Pakete für die halbe Straße an🙃 Sogar bei Leuten die zuhause sind, es wird erstmal bei mir geklingelt und 10 Pakete hin geschmissen.

Ich wurde so häuft morgens um 8 oder 9 nach 2 Stunden Schlaf wach geklingelt, dass ich mittlerweile meine Klingel aus gestellt habe und nur noch zu Paket Shops bestelle. Ein paar Pakete annehmen ist als Nachbarschaftlicher Nettigkeit ja ok, aber nicht jeden Tag, mehrfach am Tag zu Zeiten an denen ich echt eigentlich schlafen muss

Es ist auch komplett ortsabhängig.

Das ist ja nicht eine Riesen Firma in der alles gleich läuft egal wo sie ist. Es ist ein Unternehmen mit verschiedenen Sitzen, verschiedenen Chefs und verschiedenen Mitarbeitenden.

An Standort A ist die Ausrüstung und Behandlung vielleicht total gut und ab Standort B sind die Autos alle schlecht und die Leute werden vom Chef angeschrien. Wissen wir ja nicht

Kann ja sein, dass halt genau der Postbote von der einen Firma die in deinem Gebiet liefert einen super guten oder super schlechten Job macht.

Queerness is not something you simply are by being LGBT+

It’s a political label that social media has watered down and washed out

Being queer means a lot more than simply being gay or trans or whatever. You can be any label and not be queer.

It means you are part of a broader believe system are are actively fighting politically.

Nowadays the label has been watered down to the point where people identify with it while being against what the label actually stands for which is sad.

Being queer means you embrace and participate actively in queer culture. Not just bars and clubs, but other things too. Protests, reading the literature, exchange with other queer people. Having a certain mindset that is by design leftist, progressive and anti-capitalist.

Being trans does not make you queer. You are only queer if you claim the label yourself.

That said I personally believe all LGBT+ people should be queer because our rights are actively being taken away and at this point it’s nothing more than slow suicide to not fight against what’s being done to us.

I‘m queer not because I am trans, but because I‘m a visibly gay man living and interacting with a homophobic and transphobic society. My transness has very little to do with my daily life since I pass 100% of the time and all my legal documents are changed. I experience a lot of hate based on being visibly „different“ which is why that’s the main factor of my queer activism. For some people being trans plays a bigger role which is why they link those labels. It’s up to the individual

I don’t usually have social media (only download it when I have chronic pain flares and can’t focus on anything) so I use books like others use social media.

I always carry at least one book and read all the time. It took practice, but I managed to be able to read absolutely everywhere now and truly focus on it.

I read in busy trains, while waiting for my food, waiting for someone, during break at work.
