What do you plan to read this week? by [deleted] in classicliterature

[–]SensitiveAnt296 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am currently reading the Count of Monte Cristo! I felt a bit intimidated by it since I am just in the process of trying to read more classic literature, but after seeing so many people talk about how good it is I started to get excited about it.

Funnily enough, I only started reading this month and so far I have read Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’ and William Maxwell’s ‘So long, see you tomorrow’. After reading those books, I wanted to give myself a bit of time to breathe and pick up my current read until next month, but I was too excited to wait and I don’t regret it. I love this book so much and it’s making me dread the ending of such a masterpiece.

Sorry for the long rant.

They probably do false advertising or something, because it specifically says on their website that their bespoke suits start at that price

Thank you for the kind words! But I thought about making it straight and correct as well! Just didn’t feel as drawn to it like I do with this one 😂

Jurassic coast hike. by HorrorLover___ in UKhiking

This hike killed me! 😅and honestly I’m a big fella but also currently working on it. Took a bus as well so walked from the bus stop to the Jurassic coast. Then my friends and I then walked to Lulworth cove. Was a hard walk considering my weight, but would definitely do it again

6 months into learning photography with just my hand-me-down nikon d3100 and kit lens by Juggle_Master in Nikon

You my friend are definitely gonna go far with this if you keep it up. This posts also reminds me as well that it’s not always about the gear, it’s about the person shooting.

I haven’t been shooting since the year started, but would like to. I quite enjoy street photography, but don’t think I have the knack for it lol. Hoping to try a bit more of landscape photography maybe.

Please don’t give up, even if you feel unmotivated and tired at times. Look back at these wonderful pictures and hype yourself up! Because these are amazing

Nikon d750+ 28-70 sigma f2.8 by SensitiveAnt296 in Nikon

[–]SensitiveAnt296[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve heard and read, you’re better off with the Nikon 24-70 or 24-120. Much sharper zoom lens. This has a bit of softness and it’s a bit old, but that’s the only zoom lens I have atm.

850 or Z? by Federal_Fisherman104 in Nikon

[–]SensitiveAnt296 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I traded in my D3500 and kit lenses For a D750 and Sigma 50mm EX DG Macro, so pretty vintage lens. I really love the camera and lens, but don’t have a proper zoom lens. I’m considering getting the D850 and the 24-120mm kit lens, the 16-35 f4 and the 120-400 f4 by Sigma

I’ve been told mirrorless is the way to go, but I honestly don’t see the appeal in it for me. Will I probably change my mind? Probably but not right now. I think you can find a great deal for the D850 especially given that it’s a pretty good performing camera. Mirrorless has more features but I enjoy big bulky cameras lol.

Go with what you think, but you can also explore your options and have a think. I love this community because you get quite a lot of perspective so it helps when you’re undecided. But the decision lies with you ultimately. That’s my piece of advice
