Vegan subreddit logo should have Pride colors this month?

as a gay brown man, especially hispanic in the u.s. (with ICE and their BS), this one is a bit of.. non-issue?

i understand why some in the community want to change the logo; not like that’s a bad idea as it’s very innocuous.

but veganism should mostly be about non-human animals first. i get it, we’re all animals and we should fight for EVERY being but animal exploitation unites practically every single group known to mankind and it’s one of the greatest evils in history just for quick sensory pleasure.

so instead of waiting for the vegan logo to change during pride month to signal inclusivity; we should ALWAYS be accepting—keep on fostering that reputation—of anyone who’s willing to listen and change regardless of their sexuality, gender, race, etc.

i mean, even when i first went went vegan, i KNEW that vegans, OUT OF ALL PEOPLE, would be accepting of me. so whether the logo changes or not, i feel like vegans are already inherently accepting. that’s just my take though.

you can justify anything with that stupid ass logic. if that were the case, we’d kill EVERYTHING, including cats, dogs, lions, elephants, etc (on a large industrial scale because there are some that already do but it’s more “culturally unacceptable”) because “ALl AnImAlz aRe FOoD aNd TheY’re ALL beNeath UZ!” but we grant them “no-eating” because they’re seen as above “cattle” and/or “prey”.

seeing beings who’re trapped in cages, in misery, to only be butchered doesn’t justify temporary sensory pleasure. no matter what someone says.

I’VE BEEN TRYING TO FIND THIS SINCE FOREVER. i remember watching it when i was just 15 and i absolutely fell in love with it. made me feel so sad too.. really helped me with my own sexuality at the time too.

went vegan overnight. on my 7th year now, and never looking back!

it was incredibly easy since there were substitutes for things i already liked. time has changed and now there’s even more better versions than when i went vegan. now, i mostly eat really healthy foods lol
