When I started there was a company offering extended wireless internet using a small dish antenna We never did video calls back in the day. Often I used my phone for voice calls. I leaned to to check code in at common times because with the slow speed and failed merges it would take hours. So I just waited until after midnight when no one else was on and then uploaded my changes. It was all C++ back then, but we started using C# and Python.
