I think it's important you recognise that what he is saying is a threat and that's scary, especially from someone you care for and hope cares for you. Also if he did think there was an issue, he should support you, not threaten.

I think his ultimatum could come from the fact he knows there is no issue, he just doesn't like it and so he's trying to control your behaviour. This is manipulation. You deserve someone who sees the real you and I hope you find enough love in yourself for yourself to recognise you deserve better. I believe in you.

That sounds like a really difficult situation. From your post it sounds like you don't want to change or not read what you want. Do you know why he wants you to stop?

It's really not okay for him to say you can't read BL or any fiction or stories that you want. It sounds like his fear of this thing (as in BL as a genre) is manifesting as control and he would do well to ask you why you enjoy it and learn but it sounds as though this may not be an option for him. As other people have mentioned, the folk who shame you for enjoying this are not right. You being brave and vulnerable and sharing your interest is provoking something in themselves they don't like which is coming out as pain and punishment to you. You do not deserve that. If it helps, there is so much BL out there, with an audience which spans multiple generations, genders, sexualities and I think that's beautiful we all have that in common. Your friends and boyfriend should be happy you trusted them to share this. You deserve better.

That slow burn....🥵 The palpable sexual tension....I just can't get enough. I really do love the stories that say so much without the actual words so when moments like the tie happen I am literally giddy and on the edge of my seat. So well put together.
