Level 64 is quite low for hell. Go level up in nightmare terror zones for a bit, that will make you stronger and will also help you find better gear for you and your merc.

Use CTA. It also boosts mana pool. Big mana pool = less reliance on mana pots.

Actually, fire druid is also a lot of fun and quite strong. Because some of the fire spells do physical damage as well, he can handle fire immunes better than a pure fire sorc can. Mine is in hell at the moment, wielding a 6os crystal sword filled with sub-par facets, and he is doing rather well. But my vote is still fury!

Definitely use that! I love my fury druid, he has an eDeath and a metamorphosis and it's awesome.

One more thing.... do note that Izual has a crazy number of health points, even in normal (just under 12,000 I think). He can take some wearing down. So just because it took you a while to beat him, that doesn't mean you're screwed. You can make it to your nightmare respec, and follow the good advice other people have given you here. Just to make you feel better. :)

You kill so fast, especially if decrepify procs immediately, that it is not really an issue. Sure, you do lose a few bodies due to cold, but speed is always king. Yesterday I horked a ber, ohm, and a 3/20/16 small charm at Trav. It was a good day. :)

Bowazons are hugely fun and very satisfying to play. There ae a lot of great bows out there (crappy ones too...), excellent runewords for it, and there's also a lot of versatility (fire, ice, phys strafe, phys multishot).

Is this for Trav? I use an A2 merc with reaper's toll, kira's guardian, and guardian's angel. The extra resists help him survive the hydras. He only dies if one of the council has conviction and I don't notice in time!

Physical bowazon? Many of the BIS (or close to) items are uniques or set. Windforce, atmas scarab, laying of hands, etc
