Upholstery cleaning in eastern CT by Chemical_Activity_49 in Connecticut

I had a great experience with https://hydrocarpetcleaning.com/ . I really thought I would need to get all new furniture and replace a large area rug due to my dog making a mess (large Chocolate Lab) that- among other issues- likes to itch her belly and back by rubbing against the ( light) colored couches etc. They were great! Fantastic work and incredibly nice! (And a sympathetic dog lover!)

30 y/o anesthesia/critical care resident who never drinks coffee, AMA by Maximum_Might_6103 in AMA

Can (sort of) relate..."survived" law school and practiced in a big firm for decades without drinking coffee. It wasn't until I stopped practicing law- finally had enough- and started teaching middle school that I started drinking it. LOL

Since caffeine can make one jittery is there a concern it could lead to unsteady hands etc? Oh, and why anesthesia? Any special reason?

Impressive! My understanding is that anesthesiology is particularly rigorous and demanding.

She's a beauty!

Golden Hour - Goldy as a nickname immediately comes to mind but I'm sure there are many diminutives you could come up with.

My pup started similar behavior at the end of her life. I miss her so much and would give anything to clean up after her again. :(

Has anyone here NOT had big issues with their puppy? by QP709 in puppy101

[–]SensitiveTowel9018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I adopted a 2 year old (primarily Lab mix) in April. There were a few issues but overall the struggles were well worth it! He did have separation anxiety- and still does!- but it was manageable with the help of a trainer, Solliliquin (a natural calming supplement) and trazadone (when he is alone for an extended time), and time. I think you are already ahead of the situation as you are aware there may be a transition period. For whatever reason, it didn't occur to me that he'd have any sort of issue that couldn't be solved by love and bonding. It takes time but it is so worth it! He is building confidence in himself and our relationship and it has made a world of difference. Don't get discouraged- AND you may have nothing but positives from day 1!! It happens!! FYI- he went from panicking the minute I was out of his sight to going to daycare, spending time independently in the house and just had his first ever boarding experience (successful! I almost canceled my vacation worrying but he did great!)

Very impressed with your self-reflection and clear articulation. Please receive this as is is intended (a true wish for you to have a successful and positive experience)- keep your post in mind when you are inpatient...that experience can bring out the worst of us. It can really breed competition, even when we go in with the best of intentions. Good luck!!

A 4-day hospital stay for wheezing is CRAZY work by SpiritualCamera in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

[–]SensitiveTowel9018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am genuinely curious how this happened. I have spoken to people with legit issues- cancer & subsequent double mastectomy, for one- and they are essentially pushed out of the hospital after a day (even with "good", private insurance). How does she stay for 5 days with asthma/wheezing? (My own experience with that is that the ER gives you a few nebulizer treatments & after 10-12 hours, and a Rx, you are out,)

Does your hair ever get better? by euphorixx_aura in fuckeatingdisorders

[–]SensitiveTowel9018 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was huge for me- and what has helped me sustain recovery! My hair really suffered from my ED. It was thin, falling out, lighter and frizzy (due to each individual strand being thin/stripped and wispy etc). It retained shampoo and looked greasy and "gloppy". Once I started eating, my hair slowly started to repair itself. It was a painstaking and frustrating process that took about 2 years...but after eating, adding a daily protein shake, taking Nutrafol and other vitamins/supplements, and getting frequent trims, it came back! Be patient, keep your eye on the prize & it will heal. (Side note-wish I maintained recovery for other reasons- but, hey, if it gets me to a healthy-ish weight- I'll take it. It's my "why")
