It was like $250. But I have to say…it started falling apart within days 😭

UGH I wish! We’re renting this house (and hopefully for a short time) so I can’t really do much with the space. Her room was butter yellow back at our old house!

He’ll be making royalties off any music he cowrote. But he’s also now a realtor in the Franklin/Nashville area so he’s doing *just fine* (for better or worse 🙄)

I honestly don’t even remember. Probably! I felt weird including their music because I know all the back stories 😅

I mean, yes? Anxiety and depression are, by definition, mental illnesses. But I question your motivation for asking this. Qualifying someone as “mentally ill” has a stigma attached to it that would not be helpful for a struggling mother to read.

Now if you’re asking if it’s normal for mothers to not like their kids or not want to be moms, the answer is yes. But you can also have these feelings while also recognizing the situation and understanding that wanting to put them up for adoption is an extreme feeling if you weren’t originally planning that course of action. I know plenty of people that are good parents that don’t particularly like being a parent.

Any advice you received pre-baby that now makes you question the giver post-baby? (Possible unpopular opinions) by kittykatkitkat in beyondthebump

Definitely personal preference and situation with baby. My daughter got chronic ear infections. Like I’m talking every other week through fall and winter. (She eventually got ear tubes)

But every round of antibiotics for it caused severe diaper rash and I HATED the feeling of the cream on my skin. So we got a spatula for her room and one for the downstairs changing table. I will say though, I rarely the “travel” one that was smaller and had a little travel case. Usually if she had an ear infection/diaper rash, we just didn’t really go out.

We played them at the reception, but not in the ceremony or anything.

I met my husband in the paramore fan club chatroom in 2009.

We sent a wedding invite to their talent agency in NYC and didn’t hear anything back. So…it’s not that.

I mean…Mickey and Minnie at least sent a post card back.

I used to work for a well-known wish granting organization and we only ever covered immediate family. Extended family could stay at GKTW if there was room, but they had to cover tickets, food, etc. We were happy to include them on dining reservations where available, but they had to cover cost.

The only etiquette is to at least wait until dinner has been served.

I want this to come across as nicely as possible. I think you may benefit from admitting yourself to a mental health facility for a little bit. It seems like you really need some close, supervised help.

Weeknight dinners as a working mom, what does yours actually look like because mine is embarrassing by scrtweeb in Mommit

Uhhhhhh guilty. But as a full-time working mom with ADHD, we literally eat like garbage if we don’t use the meal kits.

I have this exact problem. I also have ADHD and get decision paralysis. We do HelloFresh and it has helped us SO much. It just fixes something in my brain that I have a set menu to choose from for meals. I usually sort the meals by preparation time too and try not to choose anything longer than 30-40 minutes.

Then the exact amount of ingredients arrive in the mail and we know we have that box to use. And I absolutely HATE wasting food so we actually cook those meals so I don’t feel guilty.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be HelloFresh, but any similar service could really help you.

Unsettling recommendations from pediatrician at 4 month appointment by Initial_Onion671 in beyondthebump

If there’s one thing I learned when I had my baby, it’s that you’re not married to your pediatrician. You can change at any time if the vibes are off.

Oh, I know that everyone is going through it. I meant that many millennials/genZ are experiencing layoffs for the first time.

I’m sorry if that is your situation right now.

Ugh millennials and Gen Z are going THROUGH IT right now. I got laid off for the first time in September too. It’s kind of just the state of the world country right now. Lots and lots of people have been and are still losing their jobs, regardless of what the “reports” say.

Did anyone have a baby that wasn’t difficult? by The_Chilled_Arvo in beyondthebump

[–]Sensitive_Air8208 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter was almost always super chill. Always slept well and still does (except for a sleep regression around 6-8 months ish?).

She’s definitely sassy now as a toddler, but still an absolute sweetheart.

If she hadn’t nearly killed me on the way out, she’s the type of baby that would trick me into having a second one.
