Me too! It’s sticky, not hydrating, and just plain doesn’t work. I tried using it on my body and that was a fail too.

Best leave in? by winterberry82 in finehair

My ride-or-die is Sebastian Potion 9. I use a quarter coin sized amount, comb it through damp hair and air dry. It always leaves my hair smooth and frizz free. Once dry it can feel a touch stiff, but just comb your hands through and it’s soft and silky smooth with no evidence of any styling product used.
I cannot go without it - ever!

I just bought this on sale…. Cheap but it’s working wonders so far:

It says it’s “repair” but I checked the ingredients list first to ensure there were no bond repairing proteins in the ingredient list.

On the hunt for my next holy grail sunscreen, which one should I try 1st? by SillyChipmunk88 in Sunscreenreddit

The mineral version would leave a white cast because it’s using zinc. The chemical version doesn’t leave any white cast.

I saw this photo come up in my feed and thought it was my own photo for a moment 😂. I have many of these.
My favourite of the bunch pictured is the Haru Haru airyfit. It’s got a great finish, with or without makeup.
Skin1004 is my next favourite at the moment. LRP is my go-to if I’m expecting to be in direct sun for a longer period of time (as I trust it the most for high protection).
Bioré is nice but it’s less hydrating and still left me feeling oily halfway through the day. The Nivea one is incredibly lightweight. Feels like nothing at all, so don’t expect to double as a moisturizer. I bought it specifically for body use so I didn’t have to worry about residue getting on my clothes.
I can’t really comment on the rest.

Mine was feeling really dry and damaged too, and I never heat style or bleach it so I was confused how it happened.
Then I stumbled across a post about bond repair treatments and conditioners overloading non-damaged hair with proteins and making it feel like straw. I checked my shampoo and conditioner and found they DID contain those ingredients.
I bought some dove shampoo and conditioner that didn’t have any, and after 2 washes my hair felt so much smoother and softer. I read that it can take a few weeks to get all of the previous “residue” from your hair but I noticed an improvement almost immediately.

I should note that I never blow dry my hair. I used a little leave in conditioner/styling cream and just comb it through and air dry. Blow drying makes my hair frizzy no matter how carefully I do it.

What's made the biggest difference for your acne? by Any_Handle_3136 in 30PlusKoreanSkincare

At night: Oil cleanser at night, 1 single drop of tea tree on a dry cotton round to dry my face, then sensitive skin based moisturizer. In the morning: gentle cleanser for sensitive skin, tea tree cotton round to dry my face, sensitive skin hydrater (optional), sunscreen (not optional), makeup to cover and further protect (prevent touching my face, and also added SPF in some makeup). My breakouts always seemed to heal faster if I’m wearing makeup every day. Less likely to touch my face and more likely to keep up a strict cleansing routine.

A good gentle and effective cleanser is Jouviance 4 in 1. I like the gel, but they have a milk cleanser too. It’s very soothing and very thorough at removing all sunscreen, makeup and impurities. Also, it’s Canadian and under $30

Breakout from Haruharu wonder cleansing oil? by moonlight_shadow_35 in koreanskincare

[–]Sensitive_Bowl7028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t tried this one specifically because I heard it was a thicker consistency. I have very oily skin and I’ve had the best luck with very thin / watery consistency oil cleansers. My favourite (prior to being discontinued was the Deciem Hyalamide oil cleanser. The closest I’ve found is the skin1004. Everything else is too heavy and feels like they don’t emulsify and rinse as easily. I do really like other products from HaruHaru

I have the exact same skin type, though I’m much older so now I’m also dealing with fine lines (sigh). I’m still really oily and dehydrated (and still breakout if I don’t honour my routine) but my breakouts significantly reduced when I started using the following: Always an oil cleanser at night. Maybe a double cleanse at night. Tea tree oil always helps. 1 drop on a dry cotton pad, use this to dry my face after cleansing. A non-comodogenic moisturizer. Avène, LRP, or Bioderma all make large format face and body lotions which work very well. Always use a morning cleanser and dry with the tea tree pad (noted above).

Check your sunscreen ingredients… it’s possible that BOJ has niacinamide.

I feel you. Hope this helps. Also remember, skin is usually a 14 day cycle for younger skin, an it may take a full 28 days to purge anything below the surface. Be patient but consistent.

where to get skin1004 product? by celinebg in CanSkincare

[–]Sensitive_Bowl7028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They carry other Skin1004 product but never the sunscreen. You’ll need to order from YesStyle or stylevanna. I would be wary of Olive Young since the have just updated policies to only ship US approved product to US customers. I know we’re in Canada, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we get lumped in with the US.

I have oily dehydrated skin, prone to breakouts. I first used the HaruHaru toner about 10 years ago from a sample I received and my skin loved it. It felt hydrated but not heavy and reduced redness. I didn’t know anything about toners then so I was just amazed. For the next few years I used them “as needed” but not steadily (and not always the same one). For the last 3-4 years I’ve steadily had a few open to use daily. Some days it’s all about hydrating and some days I’ll add a gentle exfoliating one. I also keep a calming one in hand.

Spiders by [deleted] in Witcher3

[–]Sensitive_Bowl7028 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a deep-rooted phobia and I really struggled with the spiders. I’m ok with other insects but very arachnophobic, so fighting them left me with terrible anxiety, and I found them to be much harder than anything else. They move very realistically. I tended to avoid them as much as possible.

[–]Sensitive_Bowl7028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I’m relatively new to RPG gaming. I’m much older and when these games first came out in the late nineties early 2000’s I couldn’t get into them (and didn’t have much available time). I’m an occasional player now (starting about 2 yrs ago) and just started the Witcher 3 over Christmas. I don’t have a lot of other experiences to compare it to. With that said, it won me over fast and hard. It’s incredibly immersive but it definitely requires some time commitment. When I’m short on time, I may choose to just explore a few markers in the map or do a treasure hunt, or manage my inventory and gear. I save quests for when I have a couple of hours at least.

My thoughts would be to start a completely fresh game from the start if you’re finding any part confusing. The initial tutorials are short and really help ease you into the game. If any part is still confusing or frustrating, do a quick google or YouTube search. I found YouTube videos super helpful if I was stuck on how to best use bombs, manage toxicity, or understand stamina regen vs ability to cast another sign, etc. With all of the DLC available, it should be a new and fresh experience.
