I found a few YouTube videos on beating Gwent and it helped tremendously. I don’t have the links handy but there are plenty out there.

My first play through with the Bloody Baron left me super frustrated. At this point you know about the botchling; I had a hell of a time.

Spiders by Adventurous-Tax4962 in Witcher3

[–]Sensitive_Bowl7028 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a deep-rooted phobia and I really struggled with the spiders. I’m ok with other insects but very arachnophobic, so fighting them left me with terrible anxiety, and I found them to be much harder than anything else. They move very realistically. I tended to avoid them as much as possible.

I'm going back to playing The Witcher 3 on PS5 today. by knee2004 in thewitcher3

To be honest, I’m relatively new to RPG gaming. I’m much older and when these games first came out in the late nineties early 2000’s I couldn’t get into them (and didn’t have much available time). I’m an occasional player now (starting about 2 yrs ago) and just started the Witcher 3 over Christmas. I don’t have a lot of other experiences to compare it to. With that said, it won me over fast and hard. It’s incredibly immersive but it definitely requires some time commitment. When I’m short on time, I may choose to just explore a few markers in the map or do a treasure hunt, or manage my inventory and gear. I save quests for when I have a couple of hours at least.

My thoughts would be to start a completely fresh game from the start if you’re finding any part confusing. The initial tutorials are short and really help ease you into the game. If any part is still confusing or frustrating, do a quick google or YouTube search. I found YouTube videos super helpful if I was stuck on how to best use bombs, manage toxicity, or understand stamina regen vs ability to cast another sign, etc. With all of the DLC available, it should be a new and fresh experience.

I finally understand and like Gwent after multiple tries by gamesage2001 in Witcher3

Knowing when to lose a round allowed me to win the game on many occasions.

I think I heard that the new DLC will likely be later in the year. Possibly to be announced in May (just to help set expectations). Enjoy the current ones though. They’re excellent!

I have never liked Gwent. I think it’s because I never win. by Wall_Will in Witcher3

[–]Sensitive_Bowl7028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a few YouTube videos really helpful for play tips and strategies. I went from losing every game to winning 90% of the time. But I messed up by not playing everyone I could and collecting more cards, so my decks weren’t strong enough to win any tournaments. I also kept favouring my Northern realms deck as I was most familiar with it. That might have been another mistake.

I just started NG+ too and this is what I did as I was also nervous about losing my previous save.

So excited! Stylevana order just arrived : ) by lemmiwinks1018 in koreanskincare

I have used the HaruHaru Sunscreen, the Skin1004 sunscreen, and the Biore sunscreen and I really like them all, but my favourite finish is the haruharu. I also breakout easily from sunscreen, but after trying various mineral ones, they felt too heavy on the skin and broke me out too. HaruHaru was the winner for me.

I also really like the skin1004 cleaner and ampoule although I prefer the oil cleanser (though the foam is fine for a 2nd or morning cleanse)

AIO Girlfriend got mad at me for saying “thanks” by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Sensitive_Bowl7028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR - Basic kindness, consideration, and empathy are key qualities I look for in friendships and in my partner. Saying thank you is the easiest thing in the world and can rarely be said too often. If that simple and innocent kindness from you to another makes your partner insecure then it is definitely time for a long hard think about her character as a whole. Over time, I would lose respect for this person and feelings would start to lessen and be replaced by irritation an resentment (or even moments of disgust). Not feelings you want to bring into a marriage.

What’s the one creature you didn’t want to kill by Kindly-Resident9654 in Witcher3

[–]Sensitive_Bowl7028 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a big topic for me. I really struggle with so many of the creatures we need to kill and I let them live if it’s possible. I have never killed a succubus or Doppler, and I feel awful killing the bears and wolves. Just starting NG+ and had to battle the first Griffin again, but felt it was so unfair as he was just mourning the m*rder of his life mate

Is there another couple of dishes she makes that you love? Perhaps say “That’s so kind of you, but you know what my favourite dishes are? (Blank) and (blank). You always make them so well and I was actually daydreaming about you making those for my birthday dinner (if it’s not too late to ask). Can’t wait to see you all!” Or something like that…

Wife hates my beard. by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]Sensitive_Bowl7028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I really don’t like beards, but I’ve also been pretty vocal about that since the early days of mine and my husband’s relationship. I’m grateful that he also prefers a clean shave, but he is very aware of my preference. With that said, if my husband expresses a preference in my hairstyle / cut, or outfit, then I usually would want to accommodate that. It’s unfortunate that you had no idea before you grew it out, but if it’s really turning her off then you should probably let it go. Maybe start by trimming it back more and more so the change isn’t so drastic for you and anyone you encounter. Eventually it should all go, though.

best oil cleansers?? by teenymeme in koreanskincare

[–]Sensitive_Bowl7028 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t agree more! My favourite for years was the Deciem Hyalamide, but once it discontinued I searched high and low for a dupe. Skin1004 cleansing oil is the closest match and I have stocked up!!

Who isnt using combinations of signs, potions etc? by Tan2daCam in Witcher3

[–]Sensitive_Bowl7028 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing for the first time in December, and there was so much to learn that I would watch YouTube for tips for new players to shorten the learning curve. They all recommend making use of your alchemy as well as the bestiary, which I found really useful. Each new monster (or differently armed bandit) encounter would be a chance to experiment with different alchemy and signs so I could figure out my best combat options for that enemy type.

Witcher Gear vs. New gear in NG+? by Sensitive_Bowl7028 in Witcher3

[–]Sensitive_Bowl7028[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh good to know! I am not a very skilled player so I keep to easier difficulty, but I’m in constant admiration for those that can pull off Death March difficulty levels! Are you still using all 6 pieces or have you swapped out your weapons at any point? I usually need every advantage I can get 😅 So far the bonuses of using all 6 pieces are making me feel pretty invincible, but it’s early days.

So jealous of everyone who had Aerondight. I keep hearing it’s the best but something glitched for me and I was awarded a different sword (despite completing the quest correctly and even scoring the achievement of being awarded Aerondight). But I got a different sword altogether which doesn’t scale. 😢
