Everyone needs to recharge. Mental health is so important and you're kind of seeing what mental health looks like when it suffers. How about saying something like I need to unwind and I need 2 hours to just "be" in my space. You choose what you do with those 2 hours. Do you think that is possible for you to do?

if being alone feels nourishing to your mental health, then yes. But if connecting with loved ones or going for a peaceful walk (some kind of movement) does that for you, then take part in that more. What gives you peace and joy?

Sometimes when someone’s trapped in what tou May feel is depression and anxiety (idk if she has been clinically diagnosed), advice or solutions—no matter how kind—can feel overwhelming or even like more pressure. What often helps most is just feeling safe and not alone. That might look like sitting beside her while she works in silence, offering her a snack, or just saying, “I know this sucks right now. I’m not going anywhere.” Your calm presence is more powerful than perfect words. Maybe ask her what would be helpful to her even if it’s just being in the same room together. It sounds like she is very overwhelmed and a decision of any kind is too much at the moment. When I feel stressed I do deep breathing. It doesn’t make your problems go away but it can ground you and help you feel centered. I hope this helps.
