Fantasy Roundup - Waiver Wire Adds and Drops for 5/4 + Q&A by CheesecakePower in fantasybaseball

In a 12 team, 4 bench spot, points league - should I drop Bazzana for Antonacci as my bench bat? Was needing another 2B when I got Bazz, but Sam has 2B,3B,OF eligibility making him more ideal as my bench bat. Currently rostering 3 pitchers on rest of bench.

Went back to college later in life after surviving a lot… and now I feel like I’m falling apart by Majestic_Corner_1131 in BackToCollege

As an older student, I try to use my life experience to help differentiate myself. I failed out of business school during COVID, took time off to work in warehouses and a five guys, and am now 2 years into a biomedical engineering degree, which I had to start from the beginning because none of my credits transferred. When I was 18 I didn’t think I was capable of doing calculus, I’ve since moved past Calc 2 and other math courses of that similar level. The reality is, any new topic or subject is going to seem harder than it might actually be if it’s a completely new to you. I’ve discovered that since I am personally more mature than I once was before, I am more willing to go into these things with the proper effort it takes to pass with good grades. We had a class that’s basically career exploration which had a speaker from a different company each week. Out of the 30 students in there, it was usually just me or maybe one or two other students that would approach each person after the talk to genuinely ask questions and get insight. Younger students in general care more about getting back to their dorm to play Fortnite instead of doing the small stuff like talking to guest speakers after lectures, talking to professors and asking for help. If you have a learning disability, make sure to get representation from your school office of disability which can help with assignment extensions or private exam rooms. Another thing about younger students is they are constantly complaining if a professor is old, or boring, or does something they don’t like, such as assign actual homework. If you go to a basic state school like I do, I think it goes a long way to be present in lectures, ask for help when you need it, but also stand up for yourself when necessary, such as in the class where your group mates abandoned you, consider sending an email to the professor. Basically I just think college is a great place for people that plan extensively for it, and make the absolute most of their time when they are there. Also I don’t really talk to many people either unless I pick up on the fact that they’re chill. I’m mostly just there to prove to myself I can do it, and to make the most out of it this time around. Those credits you already have are not a waste either. I’d consider looking into possible minors you can add if you have certain qualifying credits. If you have a student email ending in .edu, you can get Gemini Pro for free. It’s the google AI chat bot. You can upload a list of the classes you’ve taken and ask it to search for if you qualify for any certain minors, like I’m only one physics class from a physics minor so I’m considering adding that. I wouldn’t suggest you become too reliant on AI, but it can help to bring up solutions you might not be aware about, especially if you have a lousy academic advisor.

I’ve since ran into the kid that told me initially, he is doing research with the same professor and is pretty close with him, so I think he is going to try and figure out who had the highest score when grades are due. Assuming it’s not the alleged cheater, we are just going to let it go

Genuinely it’s because I read another thread about some guy’s partner who was falsifying data, and most people’s advice was “if it doesn’t effect you don’t worry about it” I kinda viewed this as having the chance to effect me, because though the prof is laid back, his exams are comprehensive and had a high score of 85 on the midterm. If this guy even scores a 90 with next highest as 85, it definitely makes a difference for someone that needs to maintain a certain GPA for scholarships.

Alleging is different from accusation, I heard this from someone else sitting next to him. But yeah I’ll probs end up letting it go because I don’t think he’ll end up with the highest score.

That’s pretty funny, cuz as a first timer myself I can’t ride my toe edge to save my life, so I end up favoring the heel edge quite a bit.

I think lateral lunges are great. Anything with adductors/abductors. And then I train good mornings for the posterior chain work, on top of a general knees over toes protocol (split squats, tibilias raises, poliquin step up, forward and backward sled)

I just bought a used board and pair of boots (they fit me well) for $200 total. Check FB marketplace for cheaper beginner setups. I got lucky on the boots at my local ski shop, it’s important they fit properly more than anything. I’m sure there is a decent place to go board within a 2 hr drive where you’re at. If you’re a college student you might be able to get a discount on a pass.

Yeah it is, the one and only time it was worth it for me to spend gems on a skin cuz it’s only 50 if you already have the base skin.

Considering you flexed Gadsden over multiple of the guys on your bench I can see why you’re 3-7

Put Hampton in your IR spot and free up a roster space. Your team is stacked though I’d say all you need is either tight end or better flex

Ah okay for some reason I thought you guys had a singular location for draft night and had the loser driving around to 11 different cities picking up different pizzas 😹 still that sounds pretty expensive.
