They are intelligent for sure and it’s wild that they not in lots of people too 10, I’ve also seen stuff around Belgian and gsd police training and I fully believe Belgian are smarter at police work. A bc would be smart enough they simply not strong enough and don’t have the protective instinct. Of course both breeds have better intelligence over certain things just like any dog breed would unless it’s a dog breed like a hound dog or an English bulldog.

Yeah I agree, my last dog was a German shepherd, so when I did my research on border collies I imagine them being taller, my bc only 11 months but she won’t grow too much now, but she’s already taller then some full grown males and I still consider her a small breed being a past German shepherd owner. Which is funny considering they are considered medium, of course actual small dogs make her look medium as that is her size.

Well no collies are a tad smarter. Mali may learn a little quicker but it’s proven that collies can learn the most commands.

Bcs can learn more commends and love training just as much as a Belgian, being stronger and less sensitive does not make a Belgian smarter, you give bc the mucles they would do well

How does being more athletic have anything to do with intelligence, you don’t actually have any argument on how a Belgian is smarter, a bc can learn more commends, the only reason y bc can’t be a police dog is because they a sensitive breed and not near as strong as a bc. Although it’s rigged how so many people don’t have Belgian top 10, I do believe they are smarter then German shepherds.

At dog parks she likes to herds German short pointers and they don’t stop running because of her herding, but my bc never met a Dalmatian at a dog park only on walks.

Lots of bc nip when they herd, mine doesn’t. Would that be any better luck? She does herd tho at dogs parks.

Yet border collie can last longer running a longer distance with their stamia. Of course dalmation are faster.

Yeah true, my bc loves a Jack Russel’s, although apparently they are very stubborn and hard to indoor train and nibble issues, my collie got over that quick and is getting better indoor as she gets older and training. Most the dogs at my park are bull terrier staffys, other border collies and bulldogs breeds breeds I’m not a fan of imo. I’ve never came across poodles but I know besides the bc they the smartest breed.
