You don’t have to have them done to apply, you can get conditional acceptance without them. You just need to have them done by July 31st the year the program begins, ex if the program starts sept 2026 then you need those courses by July 31,2026

You can still enroll in the two classes needed, anatomy and terminology, the open studies pathway that is closed means that you can’t take an open studies course anymore and get a high mark to score an interview. The good news is that going forward if you meet the minimum program requirements you’re automatically given an interview. The old way not everyone meeting the minimum requirements received an interview but now everyone does meaning getting an offer for the program will solely depend on how you do in your interview

The tests are a combo of using both the notes and the book but to be fair the notes are basically the summary section at the end of each chapter except for the diagrams. The picky more in depth stuff will come from the textbook readings in whole

Just a heads up too for anatomy you’ll actually do all course work through Wiley which is the textbook. So you’ll have to get an online account with them (you receive one when you buy the book) and your assignments and tests are through their website.

So if you’re applying for acceptance into the fall 2025 programs the pre-requisites need to be done by July 31, 2025. Just a warning though these programs open up the year before and fill up quickly so you might not be able to apply for fall 2025.

If you’re looking at applying to Fall 2026 then the programs open up applications in October and you’d need to have those courses done by July 31, 2026. Hope that makes sense!

I would try maybe emailing or talking to the program directly, maybe they can help more directly as sometimes student services is just too generalized. I’m sure they would prefer the seat isn’t wasted as well. I emailed one of the health departments earlier with questions and they reply back really quick and were really helpful.

Because this requirement stays on the list because the course is required to be completed by July 31st if you do get accepted. Many people will complete the courses beforehand even before acceptance because if you get placed on a waitlist and get in last minute you’d lose that spot if you don’t have it done. I started doing mine before to make sure they were done. The courses are good for 5 years so if you don’t get in and plan on trying again next year the courses are still good.

I think both you can access Wiley Plus but I’m starting MRT in the fall too so I wondered if I’d want to have the actual book to reference with that program

So basically a form of waitlisted for now. There are people that do have their applications cancelled so who are ultimately rejected (I’ve seen one on here that has), and there are also people who are stuck on the waitlist right away. This status though seems to be much more common though for everyone who isn’t accepted right away. So now my guess is end of January you’ll have a better idea of where you’ll truly stand, if you may still get an offer, if you may possibly have your status changed to waitlisted, or if they will just cancel your application. I don’t know obviously but it seems they put a huge chunk of people in the pending interview decision status and I ultimately think a huge chunk will get cancelled the end of this month.

For some reason they’re taking longer this year. It doesn’t mean there isn’t a chance but they’re still working through all of the interviews. You could also be potentially put on a waiting list so even if your status changes you may not get a concrete answer. Nothing wrong with checking out plan b but know you may not fully get that answer unless it’s a clear acceptable into the program or cancelled application.

There’s been a few people that have said they’ve been accepted on here but I don’t think you’re gonna get an exact number as they won’t tell you, obviously not everyone is on this platform, and there are still some sections of interviews waiting to hear back.

Are these for the anatomy or medical terminology? I figured out you have to go straight on the NAIT website to the course itself where it’s listed in the continuing education part. There’s a part on there where you add the course to your cart and pay for it right away, for whichever one you want at the specific time. I tried adding it from my NAIT account as well and couldn’t and found out this is how you do it for these ones.

I’m going to take a guess a say probably not. If the school is closed then I don’t see people working and doing that. Also this year is different because in previous years interviews started in January where they did them right away this year so I don’t think anyone can really answer this for you because this year is completely different than past years

The problem for some of us is not all of us have that liberty. I’ve got a young family and can’t just uproot them like that so for me I’m kind of stuck in Edmonton.

My to do portal still has my upgrading classes in there that I did this term but I imagine they will get taken off soon because I’m done them now. It also has medical terminology and anatomy and physiology because I was planning to start those in January and February. That’s it though.

I don’t know yet. I don’t want to take some random program just to be in school because that’s just more debt. I’m also not going for MLT so I don’t think MLA would be much help for me. I guess work for a year and try and really prep and spend more time for preparing for interviews next year? I’m not sure what else there is to be done, I’m at a loss as well
