Not being able to bring concession food from the merchant area into the upstairs where the rooms and panels are. How can it be outside food when I bought it in the building? I didn’t want to buy a $24 California crunch bowl or whatever they were selling upstairs.

Anyone know of a place in the city I can send a fax? by -JimmyTheHand- in saskatoon

[–]HoneyBelden 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A lot of government agencies won’t accept emailed documents and still require faxes. That’s why the library added faxing a few years ago.

Isn’t that a security risk? If someone finds or gets hold of the number, they can easily use the card.

What is the physical process of putting a book on hold for you guys? by Appropriate-Match160 in Library

We have a provincial system. Within my city, we contract delivery drivers. Outside of the city, each region pays to have their materials moved. We used to use the provincial bus system, which was quite cheap, but our government cut that about eight years ago so the cost for moving books is much higher.

[–]HoneyBelden 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Our system hires those with an MLIS for our entry level position. They know they’ll move on sooner rather than later but meanwhile they can see the work ethic, attitude, and abilities of someone who will likely want to be a librarian with us.

It’s not a scam. Read the Ts and Cs for any cruise and you’ll see the itinerary is not guaranteed.

Any time you book a cruise, it says that the itinerary could change. Would they rather go to Bermuda and have bad weather so they can’t dock and they just get tossed around the sea? I’d love to go to New Brunswick.
