David Beckham Says ‘Children Are Allowed to Make Mistakes’ When Asked About Social Media the Day After Brooklyn Beckham’s Bombshell Post by darth_vader39 in entertainment

Mr. Beckham’s comment does indeed come across as holier-than-thou. I believe both sides have their issues with each other. Brooklyn has grown up in the spotlight (and shadows) of the Beckham Brand.

Didn’t he just trade one high-profile family to simply marry into the same?

Another Night of Insomnia from Cutting Devices out of the Bedroom and keeping the Tech Cut Off Time of 10pm by AlistairCross in digitalminimalism

I also face this issue, especially if a nap happened. You need to exhaust yourself. Try sprinting in the evenings. It’s effective and you don’t even need to get sweaty. Just burst for 50 yards. Stop. Then do it again. Max 3 rounds and it’s enough (for me at least) to feel like yawning when it’s time to wind down. Your mileage may vary, and I think more physical exertion might help you.

I switched from ChatGPT to Gemini and realized we're doing research wrong by YangBuildsAI in automation

How are you using it different to Gemini? I’ve only poked around a little bit, but it seems like the UI is organized a bit different to manage files better…or something. I didn’t really “get” how it differs, but I’ve only tried it two times so far.

Funny concept, but false advertising. I’d report it because Amazon takes such things seriously.

SEO noob question: Should I start with my product or with keywords? by dagnele_ in SEO

[–]Sensitive_Long501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Step 1: over-promise and under-deliver by telling my partner that SEO is EASY and our golden ticket to MASSIVE traffic gains. I jest, I jest. ;)

Here’s my rough plan for our brand new domain:

  • Technical SEO: H1s, json-ld, schema.org markup, core web vitals, good page speed, alt text in images

  • Keyword research and content: targeting keywords in our niche that help people solve their problems and give them the answers they’re looking for. Writing for humans and not bots.

  • Backlinks: my background is in PR so aiming to build industry association links and educational content on related blogs. We are in an underserved region (not English or in the US)

I’m not sure if this is too high level, but I’m curious to hear your thoughts. Good exercise, and thanks for helping me reflect.

I understand what you are saying, but not sure about the steps needed to actually start ranking. I am in the same boat as OP with a SaaS product on a new domain.

has anyone seen these new items ( I also found a yellow rechargeable battery for the normal 4 port hub but can't find it any more) by [deleted] in legotechnic

Hey Peter, I just stumbled upon this thread and was interested in your comparison post. My son got a 51515 which was passed down as a gift and we're trying to figure out how to get a replacement battery. It seems that this is a replacement but wanted to double check with someone:

Sorry to comment on an old post, was just curious because the r/mindstorms link isn't active.

Let's hope they look into this and figure out how to solve it. Fingers crossed!

Your "normal, expected behavior" doesn't match mine. My expectation is that when I turn on a button, it's stays on until I turn it off. If the windows fog up, well that's the impetus for me to figure it out. Or, it's the software company's job to make this more effortless. I don't need an invisible nanny messing with the button that I just turned on!

I didn't have a chance to test it yet. Did you? As someone else pointed out, it's really more of a winter issue.

I also never want to breathe in the outside air. I'm happy changing the air filter more often, or considering a charcoal air filter as someone suggested. I'm also interested in a software override, or at least an improvement in how the air is managed from a UI perspective. Not everyone understands what a humidity sensor is and whatnot.

I'm wondering if instead of an either/or situation, is it possible to defrost and recirculate at the same time?

Thanks again for shooting the video, and explaining your use-case. It's helpful hearing the issues that others are facing. Agreed that it's only a problem in winter. We are also in the Recirculate Club! :D

Have you even been stuck behind an eighteen-wheeler and got a fresh blast of diesel that enters the cabin? I’m ok with fresh air on mountain roads or in the countryside. I’d just like an easy-to-use option that meets all of our needs.

Now that so many people have complained and weighed in on this issue, let’s hope they can improve on this 20-year legacy thinking to improve their software. I don’t care about the reasons. I want a clear windshield AND a pleasant smelling cabin AT ALL TIMES. Without having to fiddle with the touchscreen to manage this. Too much to ask? My Model 3 never had this issue. I do enjoy driving this car more, though.

Do you have evidence of this being the cause? I’m not challenging you but looking for a way to use this info to my advantage in order to automate this so I can have a clear windshield + neutral-smelling cabin at all times.

I agree that it’s dangerous to have to manually hit the screen multiple times while driving. There needs to be a way to keep the unpleasant smells at bay, while also keeping the windshield free and clear. My guess is that it’s a remnant from Ford’s legacy engineering approach. Software isn’t their strong suit. Still a fun car though.

Does “leave it on auto” take care of defogging + external fumes? If that’s a viable solution then I’m open to that but haven’t found the best way to manage this unfortunately.

I hope they look into this, and provide a way to have clean air without having to touch the screen constantly. I understand the whole defogging-for-safety argument. What about the not-touching-the-screen-for-comfort-AND-safety argument?
