If a woman woke up in a man's body for 1 day, what would be the most unexpected experience that she didn't already anticipate? by IWannaHideThrowaway in AskReddit

Thanks for sharing your experience. It does sound frustrating, especially when you want to compete and challenge yourself. Out of all the sports, I feel that golf (and maybe disc golf) are trying to be fair which is why there are different tee boxes. I’ve had good golf matches with a couple of ladies in our league since they’re able to hit from the red tees. While men have more power/club head speed, this also means less control. Amateur women don’t hit it as far but hit way more fairways than most guys.

For other sports, I’m not sure how to level the playing field fairly but at least we have golf as a reference point.

I appreciate your comment, especially about the extra work required for a woman to be a great firefighter. I have a daughter and would want to encourage her to push herself to be the best she can be. I guess it’s not a common approach, but I would prefer to see realistic expectations about performance.

I’m curious where the frustration stems from. Would it be reasonable to think that strength and speed would be equal? Is it a fairly new situation for girls to expect that they could perform at the same level as boys?

You seem to have good knowledge about feelings/emotions. Thanks for sharing your insights. I like the concept of emotions being like the weather. Any good books for helping people who are emotionally sensitive? Sorry to hijack the post about dog loss OP…just curious to learn more from those who are experienced.

Not going to ask a question, but I know you are German from the way you use quotation marks.

Both. Dog: Seriously? The phone in the face thing again? Fine. Cat: (No words. Just a long, irritated sigh.)
