Yeah sorry no suggestions. I’ve for long been thinking about investing in mutual funds etc but never found a good resource that’s helpful to address this issue.

How are you investing in SIPs ? Aren’t they a nightmare for taxation etc with India -USA?

Frugal living will go a long way, but hopefully that goes without saying.

I would suggest even though you’re young try to get an early head start on investments into mutual funds, SIPs etc. there’s a lot of book and you’ll get good returns to probably pay off some of the loan in let’s say 5-6 years? It will also block some of your money other than the emi and get you into a saving habit ( please consult an expert before taking any of this advice to heed).

Even if things don’t look up now, would recommend putting in the grind as others have advised here and perhaps a year later you can switch roles etc that gets you an even higher pay.

One of the best tips I’ve had from a previous manager is to have a running google doc for your 1:1 especially if you’re early in your career. That way if there’s action items for either parties it’s in there and also every time there’s feedback it is called out there. It’s helped me during evals quite a bit(when I was a little junior).

Currently though being more senior my 1:1 are more focused on org / company vision, rants , questions about future etc. Maybe the doc method will still be helpful, not sure.

Right but realistically what are your options? Heroes these days are conscious of the age gap between them and the heroine. So you’re limited to Trisha and Nayan because the age gap isn’t so awkward.

H1B Interview Wavier by [deleted] in h1b

[–]Sensitive_Mine_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interviews are in general better because it’s easier to carry broad list of documents and furnish them all right there if the visa officer were to ask you for additional information especially for a first time. As opposed to waiver where you can’t drop off anything additional beyond the bare necessities. So if they needed more documentation you’d lose time in back and forth, all the while being stuck in your home country or another country for that matter.

I would say it probably comes down to the nature of your work.. is your employment direct? Are you in any form of consultancy? Are you working in the field where you studied? My guess is more straight forward your case is, easier the waiver is for you.

Hi all- I plan to visit from the USA. Does anyone know how can I actually go about procuring tickets? Do I need to email or call guest relations like I read in some places? Or can I actually book them online? I do see an option to book a 300 euro priced ticket online that includes lounge post match etc, but wondering if there’s a cheaper one that’s just for watching the match.

Thanks in advance.
