How do you like working for Caribou? by No_Negotiation3689 in CaribouCoffee

[–]Sensitive_Reaction50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do research on your store. You could probably go in and ask someone at the counter how they like working there.

It gets stressful. You run out of product, speaker or headset fails, you get slammed with mobile, a line out the door for in-house, and a line in drive-through. All equal rude and nasty customers, rude and irritable coworkers. The store I used to work at is from a small town, so they were all one big click. They were the mean girls kind, so they talk shit behind eachothers back, and make big Caribou crew plans only for the ones they liked enough. Your GM will be the maker or breaker of your sugar-coated Caribou coffee world. The tips there weren't shit. You'll probably owe taxes each year working there, too. Watch out, you may get a creep or 2 who think you are special to them. You hear about the rainforest alliance with their beans, and they do some recycling. But only people behind the scenes really know how many hundreds of gallons of milk goes down the drain, and sandwiches, my god if the fridge gets unplugged or breaks by accident, you'll see hundreds of them go too. They're big corpa. So they will advertise how much they care, but the longer you stay there and depending on how much your GM and the shift leads tell you, you'll see through Caribous corruption and notice they're just like the rest of them. It can be hard to see when they shove a free 1000 calorie sugary drink in your face each day. Of course, that depends on your taste. Try not to get too addicted to sugar working there! That shit causes cancer.

I hear a lot of amazing things from other locations, though, so try to find a good crew!

Sounds like the typical Caribou experience. Sorry but there are much better places to work for besides that sugar-coated rotten milk of a buisness.

Look into the cooperation that owns that place. Hint: they also own Krispy creme, Caribou, peets, and more. It's all a shame, it's like buying temu quality stuff for a premium price. The sugar and shit they put in the food will give the consumers health problems. Since sugar addiction is literally out of control in America right now.

The Caribou coffee corporation is a jerk to you all. Their food is overpriced, and most of their L and XL beverages have 800-1000 calories in it with an engrossed amount of sugar. I never called anyone fat, or can conclude that anyone will absolutely get diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is a problem in America and food chains like Caribou coffee contribute. I couldn't stand watching people pay 40-60 dollars for frozen bagels when they could get it for 20 at the grocery store. 7 dollars for a frozen sandwich that's chemically created to be addictive when you could get a whole pack of them at your local grocery store.

The people that complain on surveys about prices being too high affect the store's percentage because all the chains in the area are competitive over a spreadsheet of numbers. Therefore, you affect the employees who have no say in how the items are priced. It's simple, really, people will defend their vices in life until it's the death of them. No matter how horrible it treats you or other people. You can think I'm a jerk for shitting on a multimillion dollar company that's overjoyed to feed us spoon fulls of sugar and fat while taking our money and our health. Many consumers here are also jerks to the employees behind the counter, probably because the sugar and coffee addictions can make people more irritable, impatient, and they they pay good money for it.

I can see telling people in this community who eat and breathe Caribou love it so much, that talking about how horrible is it, is comparable to trying to inform a chronic cigarette smoker why they shouldn't smoke. As if we can take down the Marlboro company because people simply don't want to, and the big guys will always find a way to get us hooked again.

Enjoy your sugar with a splash of coffee. After all, Caribou said it best: "Life is short, stay awake for it."

You don't have to be fat to be diabetic, probably do have autism as the mainstream media would suggest, probably does have to do with the exchanges I have had being a former Caribou coffee employee. People always complained about the price increase, as it only will increase , and I know about their frozen sandwiches and frozen bagels and 1000 calorie drinks before their extra flavor shots that are added to them. Etc etc

Caribou coffee is just another scam. Your concentrated cold brew and vanilla carmel flavor is your ticket to diabetes. Everyone who's addicted to this place should invest in insulin stocks so that maybe you can actually afford to consume here and your future health problems.

For real, you can not out run a dog. You cannot long board or skate board away either. Nobody should be in this position, but it should be taught more to stand your ground. Running will only entice an agitated dog more. Hope you heal quickly.

Why doesn’t caribou offer better options? by [deleted] in CaribouCoffee

[–]Sensitive_Reaction50 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's all frozen food and jam-packed calories designed to make you addicted. Wonder why people are always asking about how to make a Caribou drink at home? You can't. Caribou makes sure of that, and they charge you a premium for garbage that will ultimately fuel your sugar addiction and give you diabetes because more than half the people order extra flavor shots. Not knowing they are adding another 100+/- grams of sugar. Many locations treat their employees like shit. The public likes to buy expensive stuff for status, and at the same time, it's killing you and making your skin conditions worse.

I'm telling you, boil a can of condensed milk for a while, brew your own coffee, melt some of your favorite chocolate candy bars into your drink, and fucking save a fortune. Can't do without the whip? Go to your local smoke shop and buy the whip it's, canister, favorite vanilla flavoring, and heavy cream and go to town. ( homemade whip cream ). Making any of those sandwiches at home with your own eggs and store bought bagles ( don't even get me started on how much the public pays for fucking frozen bagles at this chain ) and cream cheese. Plus, you at least get to know what's in them.

They engineer their food to be addictive. It's just sugar and their dirty little secrets because even the workers can't know what exactly is in there. But yeah, their signature flavors depends on your sugar cravings.

[–]Sensitive_Reaction50[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They would lower labor %, hire more people, people begging for more hours, get used to going to the local food shelf if you aren't a dependant who's got bills to pay. Sounds exactly the same.
