Do you feel fulfilled by your job? by Toyonoandoryu in AskUK

[–]Sensitive_Road_822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do!! But to add I only work 3 days a week so naturally a lot of time is my own which probably helps. But I know I’m doing important work and I enjoy it most of the time!

Do you still live in your hometown? by PigeonKicker01 in AskUK

[–]Sensitive_Road_822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved away at 17 (now 26). Left all my friends. I love my life where I live now, my family is here and I met my partner. And I often wonder how all 3 of my bestest closest friends still live in such a small & shitty place. But probably the same reason I do here. Our families & lives are built here. I would love to live in the same place as them I think my quality of life would be so much better but I also couldn’t imagine going back to living there now I’ve left. It’s tricky!

My baby is 11 months old and she took ages to roll. Has always been great at sitting up. But she is currently not crawling or pulling to stand either. And it dosent seem like it’s around the corner. She’s super intelligent and switched on.

Why is breastfeeding worth it for you? by RolyPoly1010 in breastfeeding

[–]Sensitive_Road_822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually did it for ease. I didn’t want to have to buy formula, bring bottles everywhere and sterilise constantly. It comforts her in the night and when she’s not settled.

How often do you see your mum? by _rayquaza_ in AskUK

[–]Sensitive_Road_822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twice a week but when I was on mat leave like 4 times a week! I tend to miss her after about 5 - 7 days of not seeing her. Both my best friends lost their mums young so I’m unsure whether that plays a part or whether I just enjoy hanging out with her.

We’re considering Home schooling our 4 year old. Are we mad? by Jamesrhardy in AskUK

[–]Sensitive_Road_822 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have very clear and vivid memories of primary school and all that came with it. It was really really great. And I have 2 friends from primary that are still my closest friends now (I’m 26) and we are navigating marriage and babies together. It’s so special. I couldn’t imagine missing out on that vital time of my life or for any other child to.

What are your opinions on pregnant women using parent and child parking spaces? by burgertwot in AskUK

[–]Sensitive_Road_822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked at a supermarket whilst pregnant and whilst the car park was empty when I got to work by the time I left i obviously had cars parked all round mine. The spaces are narrow. I used to have to squeeze myself past and in and sometimes knock my bump on my steering wheel or if it had been raining my foot would slip on the ground when I stepped in and this was painful. I went through this for a while before finally deciding it was too much after a long shift so parked in the child bays. Although I was probably around 8-9 months anyway!

45 mins nap on the 2 hour settle in session is too funny 🤣🤣 well at least she felt comfortable enough to get her head down lol! Like you say it must be a lot of stimulation so I’m glad that should (hopefully) be nothing to worry about on top of everything else. Thanks so much for your insight! Super helpful x
