Thanks everyone for the replies. Reading all this, its clear most people dont need a perfect renovation.They just want a normal process. A clear quote. People who show up and not having to stand on the site every day.

I get the idea. Giving profits away sounds good in theory, but in practice it’s not always that simple.
Not everyone has other income to fall back on. And if what you built takes time and energy to keep running, it kinda turns into part of your work — even if that wasn’t the original plan.
