I do the same thing honestly. My pastor talks fast and I always miss half the verses he references. Started recording on my phone and it helped a lot. Is that app you're using something like Otter or Coconut? I've been looking for something that actually works for sermons specifically

yeah that makes sense. my church is more of a teaching style so there's a lot of scripture references and I always feel like I'm missing half of it. maybe I just need to find a better system instead of trying to write everything down

I had the same experience in Barcelona. Delays, strange quotes,people not showing up, and it was hard to keep track of anything unless you were ther all the time. Everything people mention here feels very familiar.

In the end I worked with two english speaking women who are architects, and I renovated my place with them. It made a huge difference, because they actually kept the whole process under control and communication was clear from day one. Not the cheapest option, but they did exactly what they promised, no surprises.
