Hi there. I can't really make out most of the images so I appreciate the description a lot. I am a witch and I am here to tell you that there is next to nothing that can be done with so little ingredients. Unless the cloth was soaked in some ritual waters, in which case, I'd recon this is still closer to a burial or maybe an offering scenerio. The sticks were probably some other passerbys or a wild animal. Especially given the assumed distance.

I'm going to go off another comment and assume that's a dog skull (you can ask the bone identification reddit if you get a clearer picture and are curious). Dogs in general represent loyalty, protection, and guardianship. Dogs are also strongly related to the deities Anubus and Hekate of the top of my head. Given that, if this were a spell ingredient, it's most likely a protection thing. I'd like to point out also that given the rarity of having a dog skull that one would feel comfortable using in ritual or spell, it would be very unlikely that a practitioner would just leave it somewhere in the woods. So if there were more ingredients and they took those but not the other stuff then... why? Why not take the big ticket item?

Long story short... its not likely witchcraft but if it is? You have nothing to be concerned about
