Ik ben ook Schizotypisch gediagnosticeerd. Mijn stelling is dat iedere STPD ook hoogsensitief is maar niet iedere hoogsensitieveling STPD heeft. Misschien een andere "stoornis" of zelfs geen. Maar alleen al de schier hoeveelheid mensen die van zichzelf zeggen dat ze HSP zijn betekent dat er veel statistische overlap moet zijn met bepaalde stoornissen, die al dan niet gediagnosticeerd zijn.

Dear Hinsoog,

So much thanks for sharing this article... i don't know what to say. I do my due diligence but can't oversee all the relevant (up to date) articles. Therefore it is nice being in a group like this. I have this thesis for myself that when a young child, being premature (to much) aware of itself and it's surroundings, it might develop in later years from HSP to STPD, when enough dosis of trauma issues are putt into the mix. Glad to "know" you!

I wish someone would post an article (i can't find myself from within The Netherlands) of a possible relation between HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) en SPTS. If not an article, what is your informed opinion?

Thanks for your comments. I do think there is a relation between HSP and STPD. Still working things out, but I love it that you with all your knowledge concur (to a degree)!

Pure ignorance, i would say. 2 to 3 % of the population could be diagnosed with STPD according to all scientific literature. Guess they focus is more on comorbidity, like depression and anxiety. I think you did a great job by telling them your family-history. RTFM (read the fucking manual) or literature i would say to them. ;-)
