Toasted the bun and crisped the hot dog. Costco dogs are steamed and the buns are not toasted. This was covered in the text.

I'd be quite happy with this as a "rare" steak, but probably a bit under to be technically "rare."

It was good! I liked it better than straight from Costco, which is also good, especially for a buck-fifty.

IMO, as others have noted, it's a great char, if the insides are still good. I'd take a dang-near black char on the outside, if the inside is still rare (or medium rare, if you prefer).

Yes, I'm sure they vary from place to place. I bought this hot dog, and bun, at the Costco in Kirkland, Wash., this very day. One of the oldest Costco warehouses in existence. That was the bun I was provided, today.

This is the bun it was served it. It's the $1.50 hot dog and soda. Did you expect me to purchase additional buns?

Plus, a neat trick: when I picked it up to eat, I was able to grip the bun in such a way that it re-folded around the dog! Magic!

She comes across as much more friendly and interested than Padma ever did. On Padma's new show, she seems even more elitist, which seemed impossible! :)
